Here is a video after a 25 minute drive on the highway, at the first red light just off the ramp. Fluctuations in RPM's, and a vibration throughout the whole car (which is what the shaking camera is capturing, not my shaky hands) are the symptoms experienced.
This does NOT happen on cold starts, but only when the engine has warmed up. Taking off from the light, and driving normally again before or after this incident does not seem to have effected performance of the vehicle. To me it feels like it pulls just fine.
A month ago I threw the codes: P0420, P0430 (catalytic converter efficiency below threshold). I had erased the codes to see if they would come back, and the codes have not, but I am not ruling that out...I am not getting poor gas mileage or poor performance though...
I have also recently performed the crankshaft position sensor recall less then 2 months ago, and am wondering if this could still be causing the choking and rough idle. FYI the car has 58k miles, and the previous owner never did the recall.
So what do you guys think?
*Dirty Idle Control Valve?
*O2 sensor (related to those codes being thrown)?
*MAF Sensor?
