The first car I ever drove in my life was an Audi A4 tdi 1.9 2002 Same color as on video after I got my driving license. It was truly a wonderful and enjoyable car.

That BMW is from 1998/1999 why not a facelift 318i with 143 ps from 2001 2002 that is a comparison , the Audi A4 2.0 is from 2001 2002 2003 Old m43 engine from 1991 1992 1993 vs a4 2.0😂 Put the n42 318i engine from the same area

Stop the crying BMW fans, I own a 330xi 2002 181k km and a A4 1.9TDI 2004 248K km right now. The Audi is still the better car. Way better built and way less repairs needed. Sure, the BMW is an I6 with 231HP and that’s not nothing but sadly just a 5speed that’s not smoother than the Audi’s.
I mean I don't think BMW fans are putting reliability on the barometer for what makes a better car. My e46 is RWD, can actually drift, looks sexy, is more powerful, and gets more girls than that gay ass FWD shit. That's what constitutes a better car for me. "better" is subjective.
@@callmeJAF Girls dont care about rwd/fwd. Drift is for pitiful childlike guys. A4 B6 is really overall way better car than E46, for me mainly its seat position, e46 SUCKS there, e39 is way better.

It's only pitiful to you because you don't know how to drift well haha Anyway, I've never had an issue with e46 seats but I'm short so maybe that's why? Seats don't define a car lol, just replace them
@@callmeJAF No seats, but seat position. You didint saw this steering wheel pointing to the left B pillar, non symetricall? Afwull and 80% of car is its seat position. Like i said, E39 is WAAAAAY better. Seat position in A4 B6 is like in proper sports car, very low and very meat, this combine with quattro and 6 gear 01E, very pleasant and accurate transmission makes A4 B6 quattro impressive car. Drifting to the wall/understeering to the wall, both are farcical.
BMW any day . E46 facelift 320i wipes the floor with that audi a4. Not to mention the 6 cilinder engine itself is a masterpiece. Sport suspension is almost no cost option for the e46 . 330d xDvive is my choice . Tuned to 500hp and 1000 nm . With 8speed zf from f30 and lauch control. 😊😊😊
@@pachokardana6192 Audi have 3.0d to, bmw petrol engines was preety boring and shitty after 20+ years, all these good e46 with 3.0 diesel engine rotted away, or the rear timing chain went out because the repair costs after so many years, exceeded the value of the car, 1.8t is much cheaper to maintain than 3.0 diesel
The 320i weighs more than the 318i and doesn't have much of a power to weight advantage, and the engine on the 318 is almost behind the front axle; the performance in handling shown here is Easily fixed with beefier ARBs and maybe even sportier suspension. Not really a factor in the context of this in period comparison, but nowadays the aftermarket support for these cars is such that you can turn them into great handling cars, especially the E46 as the chassis itself, even on the 318i doesn't differ a whole lot from the M3
@@Jerry-tg2lj The 318 weights 100kg less, but the power to weight ratio is still better on the 320i. 8 seconds 0-60 vs 11seonds on the 318i seemed like they picked the worst possible engine to make bmw look bad
@@callmeJAF that's true, but that still wouldn't have really affected it's performance around the cones, I don't think the 320i has the stiffer ARBs unless the Msport pack was optioned, so it may have felt even less agile than the 318. Although motoring journalists can have bias and a smooth I6 bmw engine probably would have changed their opinion on the chassis even tho the chassis between the 318 and 320 are identical. The E46 chassis is quite stiff so I was surprised on their comments praising the Audi chassis, I think it was mainly down to the suspension and imo an E46 chassis car with the right suspension is leagues better than Audis, but I stand to be corrected
Hard disagree from me, this is entirely subjective but even the 318i has a lot in common with the M3 in terms of looks, you put both the 3 series and a4 on lowered suspension and decent wheels, I'd say the bmw would look so much more incredible
Audi is newer than BMW 😅 Bmw is from 1998 to 2001 the old engine m43 from 1993 to 2000 Audi is from 2001 to 2004 😅 Why not the B5 model Audi a4 From 1999 to 2001 Or why not the facelift model from the e46 with the newer engine That is comparison
