wow that's great progress well done , you and others on RU-vid have also inspired me to find another moggy to restore omg what have i done lol details to follow lol 👍👍
That's great news! There are so many of these old girls that need help. Although there are still quite a few, they are getting less and less. By having a go at fixing it up you are not only saving the car, but supporting an entire industry and community! Keep me posted!
I sold my last moggy in1999. Watching your channel and those of other morris minor owners has inspired me to get another. Hoping to get a traveller's thanks for the inspiration!!!!! I do recall realignment of the door on my 1997 traveller was a faff. The great thing is its all a learning curve.
Definitely get one! They are still abundant, and prices are low as the desire for them has dropped over the generations! Spares are still easy and affordable. I'm glad that you are enjoying the vids, I'm doing it as I have owned this car for 25 years + and I have grown up with it! Thanks for watching 👍
Your doing well, remember there’s a door seal may be best to fit one then play around with it, bumper alignment, remove the cap if it has one on the bumper iron flat spacers in until it lines up,that’s how it was done, the new wings aren’t a good fit personally I’d repair that one, rear bottom edge will go back, block of wood and a hammer, sounds brutal but it’s how it works
Well done on the progress. Just a suggestion place your earth connection closer to your welding and a better connection would help. Keep up the good work, side two will be much improved with the practice you've had.
you could try flattening out a bit of copper pipe and hold it behind the gap before welding.this allows you to fill up the gaps when they are a bit to big it also helps when welding on the very edge of the panel .
Hiya. Thanks for the advice. I have a bit of copper, but it's not long enough! I must invest! Or next time I'm on site and see some copper borrow with permission!
