good job mate that will make it super easy to do it next time learning a lot of stuff from what you show greatful for what you do for the E60 M5 community
i did mine and now when the car is ON the pedal goes all the way to the floor .Pumping it won't stiffen the pedal . when the car is OFF ,after 2-3 pumps the pedal stays high and it's hard. i have 5DD0 code left from DSC Module . bled it manually and with ista multiple times ( five pumps under vacuum with an open nipple ). Not loosing pressure or liquid . Any ideas ?
Is the DSC a universal part within the E60 chassy???? I’ve researched quickly and it appears that many E60 Share the same DSC pump with other models including M5.
Hi I've fit a 2nd hand abs unit to my e60 my but still have the 3 lights on.. how did you code the abs unit? I've tried activating the pump via inpa and i hear the pump on so the signal is making it but I get errors in relation to the CANBUS which I think means I need to code the new abs unit to the vehicle. Thanks for your help
I wanna change the ABS with another second-hand one with the same reference numbers It is necessary to code " the new one " thanks The carter it BMW e60 from 2003 diésel
I got my abs module and pump off. Once I get in my new one and put it back together and replace the fluid. Is their a way to bleed the brakes without software? Or do I have to have a computer setup? Also if I can’t breed the brakes would I be ok to drive 10miles to my tuner shop and have them do it? Also I’m a S85 if that makes any difference.
Good to know I’ll be sure to do that then. Unfortunately right now there’s nothing on eBay to replace the pump so I may just send mine out for repair. 🤷🏼♀️ Thanks for the info and great video
I was flushing my F10 M5 brakes with a motive bleeder. On the last front D/S caliper I screwed up and let it run dry. I bled the brakes about 10 times still didnt feel 100%. I took it to a local BMW shop he power bled them and said only a few tiny bubbles came out, nothing I would feel in the pedal. Everytime I drive the car I feel like the top 1/3 of pedal travel is extremely light and sometimes if I pump them up the pedal will drop a tiny bit. All my research is pointing to having to cycle the ABS pump to properly bleed them now since I introduced air up stream of the ABS pump. Do you think this is my issue still, I need to cycle the ABS pump and bleed? Thanks for any help!
If DCS Module is bad(faulty) will that cause car not to stay on? Car has brand new battery...and alternator is fine ...car starts with jump but soon as cables are off..the car dies 😞
Alonzo Davila if the car runs fine with a jump you have a connection or charging issue. Are jumping car off posts in engine bay or direct to battery? If in the engine bay switch to jumping directly on battery. If it doesn’t start you know the issue is between battery and engine. 1 place I’d be checking is the explosive accident disconnect located in main power cable right off battery.
@@Customwerx I'm not sure on Tech talk but when I took car to BMW dealer they diagnosed car and said DCS module was draining all power which disabled car from running ...all the dash board lights were flashing like it was Christmas 😮 ABS, etc etc .
@@Customwerx my m5 same problem. but with the brake pressure sensor that is located inside the abs module. Going to try this. Just confirm the part of the coding or programing.
