It would be great if you performed an mpg test with regular gasoline/acetone mix, and another mpg test with E85/acetone mix, and provide the results. Fill your tank with each mix and run it down until the low gas light comes on, and report the results for both. try to keep the testing consistent. For example, choose a long road trip where you'll be driving mostly on highways and maintain the same speed for both tests.
MG42pillbox - I drive a Toyota with 382,000 miles on it. Most of it's early years had mothballs ran through it. Almost the time E85 came out, I switched to E85, I gained in power but I dropped in fuel mileage. I heard about acetone( good and bad )and I had to try it for myself. I heard it ruined fuel lines, fuel pumps, and corroded things ect. I fixed the corrosion problem that I don't even know exists by adding marvel mystery oil or rislone in the beginning( I now use transmission fluid and have for years now because I achieve the same results for less ). You can see the color in the acetone in my video E85 and acetone part 1. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANY OF MY VEHICLES AND I PUT A LOT OF MILES ON THEM. People are lying when they say it corrodes things. One of these days I will pull the fuel pump out of either my toyota or blazer and record it for a youtube video. Duane
