It’s annoying when you’ve spent money on the game/packs for your team to be absolutely useless because it’s unplayable, I actually enjoyed the game until the latest patch now it’s just too hard to create chances because it feels like you have no time on the ball and everyone has 8 players in the box

The amount of packs for sale on the store is so disgusting. This company is refusing to give us a good gameplay with the intention to spend more and more time in the menus. True is your money but if you give this company real money on packs you are out of your mind.
I've lost more than double what I've won because I refuse to be a meta rat. I'd rather press manually, even if it means losing. The game isn't fun, it's far from it, but it's the only game I've ever played
I’ve hit elite division every season since the release. The fact that there is only 1 way to play the game to get into top divisions is brutal. I go to sleep and see the same direct passing sequences and step over accelerations in my dreams. The only reason I still play is nostalgia and because I love fifa. So sad
TBF plenty of people were complaining about finese shots and trivelas because no one wants to conceed from the halfway line 6 times a match. The problem also isnt that they have tried to make the game more realistic, its that the game wasnt originally designed to be realistic, so its impossible to defend cut back goals because your defenders just run out of the way and dont mark anyone.

I stopped playing FIFA like 3 years ago…prior to stopping, I played every single day of my life for 10+ years. I just got so tired of the game play constantly being changed up like Skillz is saying. I use to be obsessed with skill moves and going on insane skill runs…once they made combining skill moves slow and sluggish, I dipped from FIFA. I miss playing, but doesn’t sound like I’m missing much.
Same. I stopped playing like 2 years ago. It felt like an end of an era but i don’t miss it at all. I played it pure out of nostalgia and addiction. If you don’t make money of this game, then there is no point of playing it because it’s been so sh*t for years.
Facts. Played Divs yesterday and for 2 hrs the most sweaty games EVER… Not to mention chalked gameplay, trolls, and playing every game like your life depends on it 💀Absolute ludicrous
What i hate about this game is that you have no time to think and actually build up, if you dont blindly pass the ball a 90 pace midfielder or attacker will tackle you.
I agree 99% i think trivella did need to get nerfed but the Defensive AI is lowering the skillgap heavy and these extra animations are sooo trash the crazy part is fifa since its beginning has always been Arcady and fast paced so im not sure why they are trying to make it realistic
I’ve always been a good fifa player, always been in the elite division by playing good football with great passing and without skill moves and all that garbage. This year I have struggled as you have to play sweaty or you can’t win.

Just a junk of a game when that happens, like fifa a few years ago. in that aspect is a lot better. A lot of frustration when you played againsta a morron that did 5 skill moves in a row and you couldnt do nothing to stop it.
I hopped on today saved about 100 packs over these last few months of playing on and off. Not only did I not get shit, I can’t even win a game anymore because it’s a damn sweat fest, a lot of the times it’s not even my fault my opponent scores off my interception or something dumb. I’m really quite done with this game, and everything you said rings true.
The bigger problem is inconsistent and slow gameplay. In terms of realism I think at least basic laws of physics should be the primary concern. They just add gimmicks without regard to the basics.
Last year FIFA shorts used to get atleast 2-3k likes and even more views(10k-20k views) this year, big content creators are struggling to break 1k likes
I honestly hate playing fut it’s so ratty, there’s absolutely no fun to be had on fut, I play clubs with my friends and even that gets old because of Ea’s crap
I feel you bro. I play fifa since ps1 1996.This year is actually the first fifa - sorry eafc - that I had to uninstall (3 weeks ago). The level of frustration while playing this game is too much for me bro. Playing games frustrates me. The meta - and sorry - the playstyle of some people in this community frustrates me. So after a few games and mostly horrible experience I start to grind the menus. But doing sbcs and trying to use my dupes as effectively as possible frustrates me again. Opening packs also frustrates me because the pack weight is horrible (outside the store). On the other side it brings me into the situation that I have to do sbcs again - if I don't want to discard my untradeable 83s or 84s or whatever. So after a few packs I stand there with my dupes and think: that's boring - let's play a match. So I go into rivals and get frustration again. It's so poor because I really want to play this game - but I cannot do it anymore. No - I must not play it anymore because I can feel, that it is absolutely not good for me and my mental health. It's just sad... Thank you for your content bro.
I started playing FIFA back in 2015 and been buying the game every year since then, be that as it may, I have never played a game for so long only to get better then bad then worse then ok then bad then ok then horrendous then good then great then bad....etc you get my point. I'm honestly thinking of quitting the game for good especially after the last patch
I agree 100% with you brother, I've been playing FIFA since FIFA 98 and this year has been worst tbh. I especially hate the defending since the last patch, if I even try to defend I'll concede a goal super easy and in completely retarded and "realistic" way, but if I literally just run around the pitch completely relaxed one of my players will cut opponents pass and get the ball. Gameplay is shit, there's not a hint of realism or anything that true players and aficionados love (or rather used to love since it don't exist anymore) about this game. I think I'll sell my coins and just be done with it, because it turned into pure suffering and grind (hello there DDA scripting), AND THAT IS NOT WHAT PEOPLE LOVE ABOUT FOOTBALL!

They don't have perfect gameplay, inception says that thecapture card makes the gameplay look smoother than it is, how they get 20-0 is cause it's their career and spend as much time as we do at a job so they are gonna be good enough to get the records like that and the streamers tend to be good players anyway hence why they stream so they can play past the bullshit game delay and delayed animations

Been playing fifa since fifa 15 and this is the WORST game they have ever made. Back then we had less modes and the gameplay was way better. Playing this game genuinely feels like a chore. I never understand why we have so many footballers in real life yet get the same players in almost every promo. Everyone has the same teams and there is no variety. The gameplay is so unplayable. The whole concept of play styles in itself is a stupid concept because why do I need a play style to do something my player should already be able to do. The game is so sweaty and there is no mode where you can chill and play casually.
I decided to quit about 1 month ago for the same reason, gameplay is ridiculous and on top of that they release promos every weekend. A month after I decided to quit won’t denied that the first days were hard cuz I need it the every day hype of fifa it’s like an addiction I’m a father of 3. I use the time that I used to waste in my kids and it feels so good. I only play Pro Clubs with my friends now and I don’t feel the need of going back to that addiction of UT. And if ur going through something similar where you feel like you need to quit but you can’t i recommend you what I did I quick sold my End game squad with “Messi toty “ and so on because I’ve tried to just stop playing but I still went back to it, quick selling my squad was the way .Yo can do it

Im new to fifa i started 22 but honestly i wouldn't buy the next one unless i see positive reviews cz unfortunately there's no chance they are fixing this one
I recommend waiting until December/January, everything before that is irrelevant for the remainder of the game, not a single player is useful from before December

absolutely right mate. last year i played fut champs every single weak and same in fifa 22. this year dont even remember 1 or weaks since sep 2023 this fc is unplayble at all. i think it time for me to take decion to wait for another football game and not preorder this game anymore
I actually put it in library, kept making me angry instead of enjoying playing, went back to playing e football, which is doing all the same money grab tactics as FC24, they just money magnets, very irritating for a 59 year old who has had a nervous breakdown in the past.

This game has been a button masher’s wet dream since FIFA 13. I don’t know how I keep getting sucked into buying this abomination of a product year after year. Albeit I’ve only been buying it when it goes on huge sales in the past 5 years - like over 50% off - not because I can’t afford it but because it’s my principal not to support 💩 in general. I have so many saved videos of not only my opponents but also myself scoring absolutely MINDLESS GOALS. Like I’m talking get tackled, have the ball go back to an attacking teammate, have that guy take an ill advised shot that gets blocked… only to have it bounce directly onto the feet of yet another teammate - shoot on a wide open net and score. This stuff happened once in a while back in the heydays of like the mid 00s FIFA titles all the way up to FIFA 12. Yes it happened HERE AND THERE. But for the most part a good player was going to dominate a bad one. I’m ranked top 300 in Madden. I’ve been ranked in the top 100 in various other sports games in the past including some of the older FIFA titles. This isn’t a skill issue. This is a fn game issue. For the record I don’t like it when I score garbage goals either. The whole experience is bad. That’s what I’m talking about. The entire EAFC experience is a nightmare.

Not even once have been able to do a trivela or finesse shot from outside the box. It’s just hard for a player who’s average in the game and now it sucks to play because it’s hard to score or win games now.
Im one of those players that try to have fun when playing. Ive been playing since fifa 13 and this is the first year that I've felt force to learn new meta skills in order to win more games. This game gets worse and worse every year 😂
I think they do this (Slow the hell out of the gameplay) on purpose as a way to tone the pace down with the introduction of all the new pacey cards everywhere.

I’m glad I have it on the switch. I play 4-1-3-2 and I manual defend. I don’t do any step over accelerations. The passing, finesse, trivelas, and R1 are all nerfed like the main consoles and the servers are trash too. But the player base is smaller and less sweaty. This is the first fifa/fc on switch with ultimate team and I think the casual player base on this console makes this game playable
But it's not even realistic though..... I think as you were saying, it's not full circle with the realism. Like the defense has been abysmal for a few games now. They just don't know how to get the balance right
