Honestly im sad this isn’t true because ea need a massive wake up call on the quality of the games they’re releasing. The effort and brain power put into this game is laughable and people need to stop supporting ea so they start improving their game

Honestly all my gripes were addressed early in the video. Im willing to bet the players dropping off are those sick with trying to keep up with the meta using real money. Ive loved FIFA since 07 and every time ultimate team was available, i could use players i liked and still compete because the foundations of the gameplay was solid but FC24 is a HUGE deviation from the casual fun playstyle. I used to be a solid D1/D2 player whilst using cheaper teams. This year im struggling in D8 for clean wins. Constant mechanics abuse that forces me to play uncomfortably and when i do finally get a stranlehold on the game, my team crumbles and cant make passes or make decent touches. This game is a frustration simulator in game and even in the menus. The list of issues this game has is abundant and its a real shame to see how badly the game seems to be doing for those who dont/wont/cant keep up with the meta

I saw this tweet aswell and didnt really believe it, but coudnt figure out whats the context. Now with the context, its so obvious that this is untrue; beside the first few weeks, i didnt play with tradable cards at all this year

I dont know how many Players left. I only see that iam stopped after Toty and not a Single friend in my online list plays Fifa anymore since months ! So i think the numbers are actually higher then 60%.

Agree with Nep. PGP is not a great way to track engagement with this game, in fact I would go on to say it's probably the wrong way to track engagement. I hardly have any tradeable players in my club.

The reason is the impossibility to pack good cards without spending a lot of money on it... Gameplay is another issue actually but mostly the inaccessibility to the majority of the top tier players

For the 3rd year running, my team is fully untradeable and any promo card or high rated card that is tradeable, gets listed.

I didn’t mind occasionally buying FIFA Points and recycling to a new game each year. Now you are pushed so heavily towards paying to stay competitive and it’s become too much to lose every year.

I honestly don’t think il have played 100 games all year with tradeable cards. My whole team is SBCs or players I’ve got through SBCs like icon player picks etc. Maybe one or two who I’ve packed through menu grinding or store packs and then Evo’s

I havent played since before toty, lost interest after too many of those big fp packs became a daily occurance.

Just look at steam numbers, that’s hardcore data and the numbers are down massively.

It's so funny that this data solely reflects the number of games played with tradeable cards in Ultimate Team. Now, if you have a first owner tradeable card with 30 million games played, but you have never listed it in the market, it will not count. 😂 EA loses 60% of its players.

As football fans we all need to protest & not buy this game or not play at all , that’s when ea will realise they need to fix the whole game from A-Z

I think the problem with EA is that they don't care enough about their audience to make the changes needed to make this game salvagable and enjoyable to play thats why a lot of people are sick and tired with their antics and revel in any downfall or mishap of ea sports all loyal fifa fans want is stable gameplay and not to be ripped of big style every year with obscenely priced packs and FC points its so clear to see the more money you put in the game the more of an advantage you have which is fine if its 20 quid here and there like micro transactions for other games but with this game you don't compete unless you throw hundreds of pound a year at the game which is just mind boggling and dispicable in my honest opinion

My personal opinion the game should be fully untradeable anyway like whats the point of having these high end toty on the market when they are extinct. You fancy trying a card out pay say 100k and then a day later dont like that card and then its at 50k. No point in tradeable cards at all.

I have always loved fifa. It’s always been my go to game. My passion. However, apart from the occasional clubs session with my mates. I don’t touch it. I haven’t in months. It’s really disappointing. I just don’t find it enjoyable anymore

Also, you cant enjoy a card today, the next day better cards apear, too many promos, too many store packs from begining and horrible pack weight if they arent from store. Bro it’s true that there is less players I work full time and barely have time to play but when I do recently I can’t find a game. And everyone it matches me up the opponent just lets the timer run out and never clicks the ready button. That alone is pushing me away from the game btw I’m D6-D5 in rivals should be 3 but since I don’t have time I got relegated to 6

No matter what they do I think long term players have just lost the taste for it - mainly because they treat they're customers in bad taste

This game definitely has things it needs to improve on but the menu grind in this year's game is the best it has ever been, everyone has a sick team and can get a sick team really easy

We desperately need someone to push EA. I played ISS / PES since the snes days up until 2008 and it's a shame it's just EA now with efootball quiet in the background not doing much. They are very complacent when it comes to a lot of things in the game because why do they need to improve when people are just buying so many packs. They update the store daily and bring in so much money with very little work. People need to stop buying packs to make them listen. They also need to interact with players more.

It's indeed fuss about absolutely nothing. Only EA can tell if their are less people on the game or not. Data based on tradable items aren't relevant anymore. People have gone full untradable and First Owner anyway. Also because that's how the game is going. In my opinion we just need a more chilled mode with matchmaking we had in the past with normal tournaments. Makes the game way more fun than always go into SBMM with Rivals and Friendlies. Also at some themed series in Draft every week with better rewards. And you have already a much better balance in game modes even when the gameplay sucks. I just pray we get a tournament mode in FC25. That will be so good for just trying out cards

Only play for pro clubs now. There is no point in continuing UT due to already having an 'end game' team. No enjoyment or motivation to carry on playing.

This is not a surprise. I was playing this game as a hardcore (not getting more than 11 wins in champs). The problem is: me playing this game means I will keep dumping money into untradeable promo packs. Fut champs and rivals isn’t fun, because the game isn’t fun, unless you have all the broken players etc. also the meta is changing all the time, so have to keep learning new broken mechanics. I’m glad i stopped playing this game in december.

I have fun in Clubs, but the other game modes are ehhh

Its to takes forever to get any good players..most of the time they dont show up so its just basically playing with players you dont want. I spent years playing seasons and this year i finally tired ultimate team and its bin up and down.

Stopped playing after TOTY. Got a solid team, but gameplay is boring and couldn’t Evo any players I actually want to use. Interest dropped off naturally.

Been playing FIFA since FIFA09 and started ultimate team during FIFA16 when I had adult money to buy PSN subscription. I always play FUT all the way to summer promo every release, until EAFC24. Didn't buy the game, and didn't care at all about it. I thought I was gonna miss it since this game is such a big part of my life (I spent an average of 20hrs every week and played all my FUT Champs game), but it actually made me more stress-free in life Looking back, this game was just so bad overall. Not necessarily the gameplay that was bad, but other aspects of the game

Consumer based product/business models will always generate profit. This is the result of profit driven prioritization in the quickest time possible, typical EA

I am not surprised that FIFA/EA FC community cannot collective even formulate one cohesive idea because the time they spent playing the game repeating the same thing using the same players has definitely shrunk their brains.
