Casuals. I can’t attest to Skate 3, but in Skate 2 the “glitchers” were the most skilled players. The skill curve was insane. It took 100s of hours to master kush pops, slingshots, knowing the barrier of every map, dog piss sets, no comply BS-to mutes for extra 90, etc all while being proficient in the base game itself. (Trick consistency) Don’t get me wrong, realistic is cool too, but I wouldn’t say they suck.

@@reevert8278 I can’t speak for skate 2 because I was reallly young when I played it, but a lot of skate 3 players just get a specific button mash right and then spam it over and over for high score or do a speed glitch for every single trick or some bs that gets really old

It's the skate and community game we've needed for years. It'll surprise the doubters, people will always complain about micro transactions but personally imma spend a bunch of money on the game idc haha 🔥

You’re comparing it to a game released in 2009 that was actually complete. Like what else do you want them to add, vr compatibility with a slate board attachment. Go play some tony hawk RIDE for the wii, you’ll have the fun you’re looking for

As long as we have good communication controls the multiplayer aspect should be great

This is only the test map, they haven't shown anything regarding the actual SKATE map.

i think we'll be good on that front because in the leaked build I was finding random cool spots left and right

its an arcade game at the end of the day, if you want simulator session or xl might be your tea.

I think that animations looks pretty good. Anyway it's still pre-pre alpha so they do much work to improve game, as thay said they works about more complex and risky things in beginning to make it good, and later they will work about more simple things that will easy to change.

Playtests happen on PC but will be opening up to consoles at a later date. PC, Xbox and PlayStation confirmed for release.

I’m the opposite. With XL and Session both dual stick, I’m glad skate will be an option to play more casually with friends that don’t have time to play much. Far less learning curve

I love Session, the most challenging and realistic gameplay feels rewarding to me. It's just a fantasy for me that Session with its dual stick, hardcore, realistic controls, would have the budget and power that EA has to give us the type of game Skate. (skate 4) will realistically be. I'm not disagreeing with your point, I am sure they want to make it as easily accesable for as many players as they can... Just a shitty pipe dream of mine, brotha.

They have promised no Paywalls, no Pay to Wins, no Lootboxes and same things that makes any game worse.

For what I know they decided to do it f2p because they want to keep the game alive for more years, constantly adding content. That’s why they don’t want to charge once and keep working for free on the game. Hope they don’t mess it up

That sounds like a completely made up scenario based on nothing. I encourage you to check out the board room talk and learn more about the process. Pre-alpha stage

You’re brain is lacking kid. Coming from someone who played every skate when they came out. You got me dead if you think this looks like PS3 graphics. Have you never seen a pre alpha before🤦‍♂️ what about the fact there are so much more accurate physics and more in depth stuff than you could ever do in skate 2. Mantling and parkour add so much more to the game. Now we aren’t restricted to the roads and paths they have built or tracks someone else built. Go into the city, see a spot you like , boom climb up to it. Kid watched one skate 2-3 comparison video and thinks skate 2’s the goat now 😂. Go back to playing the one game your momma bought you in the discount bin.

Looks better than any mobile game. Just it still not textured cause devs makes gameplay mechanics first and makes it to works good.

I’ll state the obvious, but you’re looking at pre-pre-alpha. Not beta, and not even alpha. Visuals and animations will still have a lot of development put into them before release

@@Snufflepuffy finished textures in pre-alpha aren’t really a thing. It hasn’t been in development for 13 years. The studio is only a couple years old.

1. They have started to make game in 2020 so not 13 years. 2. It's still pre-pre alpha, they are works at core gameplay. Add textures is easier than make new gameplay mechanics and make it works good and stable.
