if you are into carpentry or building that elastic top is great for holding screws or nails on a work belt. you can stick your hand in the slot to retrieve a screw but they wont fall out.

These pouches usually come with a lid insert that has elastic straps you can reach through to grab shells and then closes behind your hand. It’d be even better than the Velcro flaps.
The SAW pouch is EXCELLENT for when you have to carry a LOT of mags to resupply yourself with ammo on an extended op or just Minute Manning it in the woods, mountains or rivers. I keep a couple of the quart canteen pouches for that reason but am considering making SAW pouches my go-to in that regard.
The elastic top is great for shotgun shells. Buckshot's always been a dollar a round and those shotshell bandolier's have never been good for retention in my experience.

Yes. I’ll do a short on it this evening. I’m really not the guy to ask about colors of things though. I mix and match everything. You could think of it as lazy camouflage mixing tans, greens, and various camos.
