Episode 6 of the western native trout challenge. Eagle lake rainbow trout in California. Fishing on a big lake means we bring out the watercraft. Tuna attempted to fish on a SUP, only falling in once (we highly recommend not doing this in waders), Drew fished on the watermaster and lots of fish were caught, follow along as we knock off another species from the WNTI list.

Never get on a paddleboard with fishing waiters, and wear a life jacket. This is a quick lesson on how to drown yourself. Great job Tenkara!!!!

Ya in my opinion waders should never be worn on watercraft!

On a SUP!? That’s awesome! I guess a SUP is sort of like the tenkara of watercraft. Greatly enjoying this series!

Nice little raft for the job, I have an inflatable kayak that I use just to get to the other side of a lake to fish away from anyone, or river to fish a gravel bar alone

Such an effective way to fish lakes. Even if you don't fish from the boat just getting to a different area that other people don't get to will be effective.

Not sure I would use a s.u.p. in waders but catching fish is catching fish. lol

Yeah it's something we realized shortly after Tuna pushed off, how sketchy it is to be in waders. He even tipped over one time and got some water in, but held on and was fine. Would highly recommend not using waders on a SUP haha.

For sure I've fallen down in knee deep water and was surprised how hard it was to get up. I couldn't imagine falling in the middle of a lake.
