As an Eagles fan, We are used to having 0 mlbs every year consistently. Like, teams who continuously can’t find a good player in a specific position, must be a scouting problem. Cant draft receivers as well, excluding smith bc he was a top WR in a draft couldn’t mess that up
They do draft DB's. They put two draft picks in Ricks and Ringo who have quality potential. They absolutely need to be draft capital in LB's and S's that is full on neglected and hopefully they learnt their lesson from this season.
Really? So now coaches who just ONE year ago almost won a Super Bowl have to be discarded the next year because of an early playoff exit? Man, today's instant gratification society makes doing literally anything impossible.
@@fonzs132the process went 1-6 down the stretch and didn’t have a single clue on this earth what he was doing. Guy was coaching at Indiana University of Pennsylvania 3 years before he got to Philadelphia. He’s a joke!
You got to understand, Steichen and Gannon were the brains behind the success last year. Once Sirianni gave the keys to Steichen for play calling is when the Eagles started running through teams. Clearly his success in Indy shows what he’s capable of. I truly believe they covered up for Sirianni
I don’t have the answers and I’m one of the rare fans that knows that so as a lifelong Eagles fan I’m going to ride with my Birds until the day I die so I’m just excited to see where we go from here and regardless of what direction that is or if it works or fails I’m still riding with my boys.
PREACH on behalf of us Eagles fans Louis everything he said is how us eagles fans have felt and thought. Sirianni and the whole coaching staff gotta go outside of stoutland. Alot of players especially on the defensive side gotta go too
You need to relax. 3 straight playoff appearances. Obviously they need to humble themselves and realize their coordinators aren’t good. You let Sirianni figure things out. Y’all were 26-2 in the regular season before that bad streak. Let him start on the hot seat. Everyone faces adversity. Let’s see if he can respond.
@@jjballers81 1-7 and just being a joke in most of those games to end the year is tough to not get fired from I do get your point, sometimes the grass isnt greener, but this also isnt someone that built up free passes with years of success like Andy Reid, Belicheck, Tomlin etc. He had a great year last year, great start and a collapse for the ages Esp with his coordinators doing well elsewhere and helping change Ariz and Indy tough to give Siriani too much of the credit for last year
Eagles should consider Belichick? The Cowboys should really consider Bill Belichick, question is will Belichick be allowed to control and run the team the way he wants to without Jerry Jones meddling?
Thank you. It starts at the top and the players voice their frustrations on the field. Multiple times, players voice the lack of the running game, fans did too. Do they run, 14 carries and you expect to win.
I think its funny how Sirianni took the eagles to 3 playoff appearances and a super bowl appearance, but firing him makes sense, but firing Mike Vrabel who's had back to back losing seasons doesnt make sense. What?
Well Sirianni lost the locker room. Eagles are talented enough to not have this great collapse on the latter half of the season. And his biggest mistake imo, was replacing Desai with Patricia, cuz yes, Desai was mediocre to bad but replacing him with Patricia was an awful decision, which ended their season this early and this badly. Perhaps in any other year, he would be given another chance but not when you have the likes of Belichick, Harbaugh and a couple others available.
Sirianni is a garbage coach riding the coattails of his coordinators until he can't any longer. He lost his players. No one in that locker room likes the guy or his decisions. The defense didn't even care to tackle for weeks now. Every player blames someone else. It's over got Sirianni in Philly and if not they will finish last in the NFCE. LAST.
It was clear that running the ball opened everything up, idk why they went away from Swift so early. He was starting to get it going & they just let him cool off & let Tampa blitz them a crazy amount
No no and no. I respect Bill but as an Eagles fan this wouldn’t work. That military style of coaching is finished. You would have to tear apart key pieces on your d line to install a 3-4. Eagles never played good in 3-4. Respect to Bill but I’m all the way good.
I don’t think Sirriani should be fired either because that’s a sign of panic. But if you got proven winners for coaches. I believe Mr. Lurie should consider it.
@@vincente4570 The million dollar question is did the team quit on Nick? The Coordinators? Or the whole staff? That’ll answer if you need a head coach search or not.
It feels like the players were saying all season something didn't feel right, but Nick overestimated his coaching ability and ignored it because everything happened to be bouncing their way. Seemed like with hot start they thought it was going to be a cake walk to get back to the Super Bowl, then when they got their a**es handed to them by the 49ers they couldn't recover.
I 100% agree. I am NOT apart of the Eagles fans that wanna bring Bill to Philly. Nick got us to the Super Bowl last year and we got to the playoffs this year. There’s coaches in this league that would kill to have that on their resume for the last two years and they still have their jobs. Just look at how long it took for Washington to get rid of Rivera. Nick deserves at least one more year to correct his wrongs and hire the right OC and DC
@@ShahLeezy All things could be considered right? I remember the players quitting on Andy Reid. So if they fire the coach. Then they would prove that common theme which is they need to start backing the Coach instead of babying players that don’t wanna win. That’s all✊🏿
Belichick can do whatever he wants as the Top Free Agent. The Question is What Team does he want to Coach: Eagles, Cowboys or Chargers? & does he want to be GM also? NO MATTER WHERE HE GOES HE SHOULD BE ABLE TO WIN IMMEDIATELY LIKE BRADY DID.
@@user-sh7fr9wj1h a team that has no future? Bud we were in the negative In salary cap coming into this year. We will have a lot of money to spend this offseason. We have so many rookies and young players playing impactful minutes for us . To say the Bucs have no future is pure idiocy
Mike Vrabel or Mike Tomlin (if he leaves Pittsburgh) would be better - Defensive minded coaches that understand the running game and seems to be able to gain the respect of their players. Under Vrabel and Tomlin, IF Tennessee or Pittsburgh had good QBs they would have went far. They have a good QB and good defensive personnel in Philadelphia. I think that either would turn things around pretty fast.
Defensive minded coaches will get you to the playoffs but without an elite QB (Hurts isnt there yet), you wont be winning Super Bowls. Look at the past two decades, all the D minded coaches had to have an elite QB to win a SB.
@@MerpTime Hurts is actually very good. Brock Purdy is about to take the 49ers to the SB and he's is no where near elite. Heck, Joe Flacco and Tim Hasselbeck won Superbowls. So your OC pays a major factor. Also remember that Belichick was actually a defensive coach who became head coach.
@@VinylCreator Flacco didnt play for a D minded coach, John Harbaugh was a special teams coach. Huge difference. He's more of a hybrid, he covered both offense and defense (RB/LB) where these other coaches are defensive minded.. and well, you know you gotta have a HOF Big Ben or Peyton Manning or Tom Brady to win a SB in the last two decades.
@@Cognito747 When did Tim Hasselbeck win a SB? All I'm saying is that defense coordinators turn Head coach and their history in the past two decades is.. if you're a DC/defense position turned Head Coach with no offensive background, you better have a better than good QB to win a Super Bowl. Over the years, I've seen guys who were defensive geniuses take Head Coaching jobs and none of them won a SB in the past two decades unless they had a HoF QB on their team.
Louis Riddick finally said his name ; Brian Johnson!!! He took a top 2 Super Bowl Offense and completely obliterated it. Without the Tush-Push this is a bottom 10 offense💯The Scheme is inferior. Jalen is cemented in the Shotgun, never under Center. There’s no disguises. You can’t run effective Play Action in this scheme. Brian Johnson is a High School coach in the Pros💯Supposedly the Best O-line in NFL yet BJ can’t figure out how to run the ball💀
He would go to Philly. People are overblown this Bill & Jerry situation, they would actually have a great rapport together & win a Super Bowl: but Bill would like Hurts over Dak I feel & Philly has more pieces.
the players have a disconnect from the coaches, the whole team fell off mid-season, the players were clearly disturbed but didn't want to dish it on media publicly
Ngl I'd rather have Jim Harbough right now just because of the age gap between him and belicheck. Plus what has Bill really done without having the goat football player on his squad? It's kinda crazy philly is looking at giving up on their coach after only losing one game and making the superbowl last year and having a pretty good season this year? He brought Jalen Hurts from people being doubtful of him even being a starting qb in the league to a top 5-10 qb.
@@jeremydubeck4439ok dude. A guy who almost won a superbowl will be in the cfl. Even Carson Wentz got a job after the eagles. I want what you are smoking.
Don't blame nick sirianni for this downfall.. obviously once the eagles lost their offensive & defensive coordinators in the summer their was most likely going to be a stumble in that organization. I'm actually impressed they player to a 10-1 record until recently🤳🏾🤴🏽
Man it’s sickening how many segments ESPN & NFL do on every other team accept the Texans. Texans are the hottest team and story in the NFL, in the playoffs, have the ROTY & COTY and they are getting zero love
Bill has said a long time ago that he hates the city of Philly in a clip of him telling Brady that the only thing he enjoys about Philly is the national anthem
As an Eagles fan, I’d rather have Ben Johnson, offensive coordinator of the lions who’s gonna be a coach next year, over Bellichik any day of the week. Bellichik is too old fashioned and he likes having complete control. But as us Eagles fans know, Lurie and Roseman won’t let that fly because they like being the one’s responsible for signing the right players and coaches…It’s for that reason we got rid of Doug Pederson shortly after the we won the Super Bowl- because they gave Doug the option of letting Howie and Lurie pick the offensive and defensive coordinator or to walk, and Doug walked. Sure, Bellichik would fix our defense, but in this league nowadays, it’s best to have an offensive minded coach like Ben Johnson. Ben Johnson would fit perfectly with the Eagles, Bellichik not so much because he won’t get along with the front office. And even though Sirianni has made it to the playoffs, and 1 Super Bowl, all 3 years as our coach, you have to look at it like- was the collapse of the eagles this season, there being 0 adjustments on both sides of the ball, having a playbook made up of only like 10 predictable plays that it looks like they got straight out of madden, not fixing what they need to do against the Blitz knowing that they call long developing routes instead of quick routes so Hurts can get the ball out and where WR’s can catch on the run right after they played the same defensive blitzing style the week before against the Giants is insane to me. It’s just bad coaching and not preparing the team the right way. And Sirianni doesn’t just not call the plays, but it’s clear that he doesn’t even overrule any of the bad play calls he hears on the mic (I.e. abandoning the run so quickly even even if it’s working). Sirianni is in way over his head, and Steichen and Grudden leaving proved that. So yes, I do think our collapse, the lack of adjustments, terrible playcalling to not put hurts in a position to succeed since the receivers aren’t even finishing their long routes by the time hurts is getting pressure, abandoning the run, AND WHEN YOU HAVE THAT MANY TALENTED PLAYERS ON OFFENSE BUT CAN IMPLEMENT A STRUCTURE FOR THEM THAT WORKS….It’s a coaching problem and while the microscope was on him and he got out coached EVERY SINGLE GAME, it justifiable to fire him…This year has been a coaching problem, on both sides of the ball but there was nothing more frustrating to watch screen after screen QB Draw after QB Draw, no motions or creativity, just high school football play calling. Yes, the defensive play calling was awful too and swapping out Desai for Patricia was 1 of the worst decisions ever, but our bad defense was largely due to our old, slow linebackers and D Backs….But on the offensive side, we have A+ talent so there’s no excuse. If AJ Brown has to call a players only meeting saying that they need to start believing in the coaches, the coaches have clearly lost the team and they get furious at the plays they call (hence all the hostility on the sidelines between players and coaches). The players knows it, and I’m sure they’ll speak out about it soon. Because when there’s smoke…there’s usually fire….And there has been a lot of smoke about the Locker room and about the players believing in the coaches. There’s my rant, but in short, we obviously need a great new Defensive and offensive coordinator, and if we can get Ben Johnson, then drop Sirianni and hire him and we’ll be back on track (hopefully).
Yall be talking about being successful as franchises these places ain’t never winning over a super bowl or two if everyone quick to fire em . Nick and Stoutland are the only ones I don't want launched into the sun, but when there are coaches like Belichick, Vrabel, Tomlin, etc available, you need to go after it. Especially BB, as he's basically the NFL's 🐐 coach.
The OC and DC refuse to play the middle of the field. It’s annoying to watch as a fan. I shouldn’t be able to predict the offense and defense as a spectator at home. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
He lost the locker room, and I don't think anything could ever fix that. I don't think he's horrible, but he was propped up by Steichen and Gannon. I don't see him being the coach to take the Eagles to the Promised Land.
Fire the entire coaching staff except stoutland and the special teams coach. Go get Vrabel or a coach with experience who can bring in a competent staff. This team can be back in the playoffs next year with the right changes made but it all starts with Lurie.
its amazing, isnt it??? they just dont want to criticize Hurts. They never want to criticize a player after he just got his bag. Look at Dak, they didnt criticize him until he had 2 yrs left on contract. after he got paid, they made up excuses for him. So? my question to all of you out there, if Lamar Jackson has a subpar game and Ravens lose, what are the odds that these same guys will criticize him?????
Belichick is going to Atlanta. Recent reports show that he is sailing on Arthur Blank's yacht in the Bahamas. Lurie is too late in the game, especially when Sirianni is still the head coach. The Eagles are too slow, just like their offense.
It doesn't make any sense 😕 to fired the Philadelphia Eagles HC Nick Sirian. He has lost two best coordinators after the Eagles had went to the Superbowl last season. HC Siriann needed to find another defensive & offensive coordinators. Give HC Siriann another chance, he deserves it. 🤔
Coaching change must happen. The one thing a pro sports org CANT have is players quitting on themselves and the coaching staff. If you bring in guys around Sirianni he will be a lame duck bc he wont be in control. Owners have to get out of the way and give the true football people room to operate. Dallas has the same problem to a bigger degree. When Jed York (Niners owner) finally got out of the way and let Lynch/Shanahan work they have been one of the best run teams in the NFL since 2017.
