Thank you for watching our ear wax removal video today. The ear wax extraction featured in todays video was carried out using endoscopic microsuction. This procedure uses a small camera called an endoscope to visualise inside the ear canal whilst a small suction tube is inserted to gently remove ear wax.
All the ear wax cleaning videos you see on our channel are carried out by our ear wax specialists Mr Rhys Barber and Mr Taylor Green.

Ear wax plays a vital role in ear health. It helps to prevent ear infection and helps with ear cleaning by picking up any dirt or debris that accumulates in the ear canal. Normally this ear wax would fall out of the ear taking any dirt or debris with it.
How to remove ear wax?
Many people use q-tips/cotton buds for ear wax removal at home this is one of the worst things you can put into the ear as this can lead to an increased ear wax buildup or in extreme cases impacted ear wax. The best way to remove ear wax is to let your ears clean themselves and not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ears!
How do I know if I have an earwax blockage?
If you experience a change in your hearing, discomfort in the ear or jaw or a feeling of fullness in the ear canal you may have an ear wax blockage. Our advice is to speak to your Doctor or local Audiologist who can take a look in your ears and assess whether ear cleaning is needed.

Wanted to let you know gomigirl yours was the first comment I have seen you tube pop up with a review request. I gave it a very high rating as I enjoyed the thought of you and your Sister joking amongst yourself especially about the Rosen Inserter. I have always wished I had someone to enjoy these videos with. I don't have a Sister and always thought the world would be a much more joyful place with a Sister's love. Thanks for sharing. Let me tell you a story about myself; I am a hairstylist in NY. I have LOVED doing hair for as long as I can remember. Watching hair be cut, colored, and styled genuinely makes me happy. I almost wish I had a play-by-play with one of my stylist buddies on RU-vid the way you guys have this channel! I sweat you guys talk about your job the way that I talk about hair lol. You guys look at each plug as if it’s incredibly interesting, even though you’ve seen thousands of plugs before this one. I absolutely adore you two and your content!

Ugh, reminds of the time i had a bad case of impacted ear wax ,couldn't eat, sleep, went through so many ibuprofren in 3 days, finally went to the ER after day three because the pain was so bad and I was losing my balance, In the ER it took them almost 45 min to an hour to get it cleared, multiple saline/oil/ some tools and suction no avail, then an older doctor came in with a student and a bed pan and very large hypodermic but without the needle end and explained one of 2 things may happen you may vomit or this will come out so easily you will feel a great relief, well that doctor was right for one thing they started flushing and flushing and i was felling nauseated, then it happened a warm stream of saline hit my inner ear and I hear a loud clang of something in the stainless steel bed pan, then it hit me like a ton of bricks from out of nowhere pure relief and release at the same time, ummm the doctor didn't say that would happen, but the ear wax plug was gone I was feeling a 100% only problem is when the wax came out and with all the relief and excitement my body thought something else was going on, I'm sure you can figure that out

I love the complexities of Neel's videos, but his language is so academic that watching them can be like work. Rhys and Taylor - I suffer from trigeminal neuralgia due to the nerve being pinched by my spine. I go to a chiropractor monthly, and he cracks my neck to lift the vertebrae off the nerve. If I didn't do that, I'd have sharp pain all the way around my head and neck whenever my face was touched. So I completely empathize with this patient. It is just miserable.

I have had 7 grommets in my right ear. 5 in my left year. The 7th one in the right was put in at the grand age of 34. When it fell out it got stuck as there was a lot of dried wax around it. The doctor couldn't remove it and the appointment for the ENT was 3 months off. So I got a pair of twizers and removed it myself. It felt so good!

I have the exact situation they were talking about at 8:16 ! I had a terrible earache a few years ago, the ENT thought it was a fungal infection and removed the wax, turns out it was normal wax. I got another opinion, that doctor knew immediately based on the location of the pain that I have TMJ pain. It’s been a difficult journey :/

I had multiple inner and/or outer ear infections as a kid. The scar tissue has caused approx 40% hearing loss on the left side and occasionally bouts of tinnitus regularly. With my last major infection in my mid-20's, I ended up with a crackling sound after finishing the ear drop medications. The medicine had dried right on my eardrum and crystallized so every time I moved my jaw, it would sound like crackling candy was in my ear. The ENT placed some drops to loosen them up and then vacuumed my ear clean. The feeling of that tiny vacuum in my ear gave me the heebee geebees, but it felt so much better afterwards..

When working on the second ear you said, 'hard to grab this without touching the ear canal' . So my question is, is yhe ear canal tender or sensitive? I've heard the it is painful to get to close to the eardrum itself but I did not know the canal was sensitive. And I agree, and earache is so very painful!!

You'd asked for interesting/odd ear issues...I wouldn't say it was strange, but I recall waking up one night with INCREDIBLE pain in my right ear when I was about 13 or so. Didn't know what caused it, but it felt muted, hollow, and like the inner ear was on FIRE. I was in tears the rest of the night until it either subsided, I cried myself to sleep, or both. I don't think I told my parents because I was a known hypochondriac and thought they wouldn't take it seriously, and I wasn't sure what to tell them. By morning, the pain was a hardly noticable ache, so I thought it was just a weird thing and left it. Hearing has been fine, but maybe not perfect on that side compared to the other. Come 2024, well over a decade later since then, I ask my doc to take a good look in my ears since she was already doing so, telling her the same story. Said everything looks fine and healthy, but there was a small scar on the right eardrum, in the anterior recess. Not sure what or how it happened, and how it was mostly fine by morning, but definitely strange to happen out of the blue!

I had my first experience with suctioning today. The sound was quite a bit louder than i expected and i was a little dizzy for a very short time afterwards. I would absolutely have it done again if needed. Years ago my GP used the old method with water, which was less pleasant. The weirdest part was the look on the doctors face when i asked him if he would use the Zoelnerr-tube 😂. I had to explain where my knowledge came from, so i did a bit of "advertising" for your channel 👍😂.

So I’m a bit curious.. could I have a big build up of wax/dried skin building up in my ears? I don’t have any pain, but do get the occasional itch. I also wear AirPods for around 18-19 hrs a day. Could an ear clean like this make my hearing better? Or are my ears just doing their natural thing?
