If you are having trouble building the frames I have a tutorial showing you that here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZrvyQI09JLM.html
I often have trouble with the build system just in open flat areas of land. Sometimes I should be able to add on to a structure - there are no visible obstructions, but it seems to randomly not allow a frame to be added on or a shed not to be added on - yet it allows a shed to be built where one shouldn't be able because there is already a frame there - there is no logic to it.
If the devs claim a big base is unrealistic then they should tweak how fast your stats go down on the normal difficulty no human dies of starvation after 9 minutes in the jungle and hallucinations do not actually harm u
I mean it's not 100% realistic of course. Imagine falling down and breaking your leg. That's gg you get killed or would die of starvation. Even if you could fix this, u still would need to wait a few ingame weeks. Good luck with that 9 minutes are several hours ingame Pretty sure you can't just too walk straight away if a venomous snake bites you. Even if you have the *right anti venom.
@@user-mr6tg1yw2g I hate it when I get bitten by a rattlesnake in real life. The couple of hours of low grade fever are really annoying until I walk it off. 😂
@@user-mr6tg1yw2g Snake injects paralyzing venom deep into your blood stream that reaches the heart in a matter of seconds and pretty much melts the tissue at the bite location. Ah, lemme just put a dab of tobacco leaf on... there we go! Now what was I doing? Oh yea, sticks!
You could use balconies to make more room on the bottom floor. Allowing also for a frame to be built on top of the balcony. Another balcony could also be built on the second floor, again, for even more space.
WOW how beautiful - didnt think building in water was an option - It looks amazing, thank you for showing:-) Looking at your video on how to build is pretty important to success here, great found:-)))
Certainly think in survival you should be able to place numerous frame and then build...unless I'm missing something...🤞🤔 Either way....great video. Informative for sure.👍👍
I’m guessing you can place the new frames once all floors are done right because I’m currently doing this in my story survival play through and I tied placing one down but won’t clip on hopefully works once all floors are done tips if any would help
Definitely a nice design, but in no way Early Game. Building this would take several ingame days and you'd be dying of thirst/hunger, worms, if you don't have an actual early game base.
heh. dat mudchest couch. I've seen charcoal and junk fall out of the mudwall chimney if it's over water. dunno if it still does, overall, looks nice...but, eh. needs more gardens for sustainability.
How defensible is this position against the waraha? I personally prefer using an elevated over water position too, but with access via-ladder. Painted fuckers will always try to attack anyway.
I have problem, when i build i can never build frames to be even, i mean i cant even choose lenght of frame, so when surface is uneven, i cant build anything What should i do?
Tried this, but had several issues that may be happening because this build is cheated-built and mine isn’t, or because the game has since updated to disallow this. I can’t built snapping frames once the water is too deep for them to have been there standing alone. It just goes red. That, and it is damn near impossible to add logs to a water build in the very first platform right before the drop off, because you eventually can’t place the back logs. You switch from walking to swimming because it gets so deep. It’s time like these where I wish the placement of the ingredients was similar to the Forest where you can drop it anywhere on the blueprint. Even if we still had to go in order (like logs before sticks before rope on these frames), it would be convenient to be able to drop it anywhere on the blueprint.
The square water collectors on the upper left floor (if you was in water/river) / upper right if you was on land facing the front door) what are those called? I'm new to this game bought it a few days ago, and I can really use something like that, since my guy is always "i'm thirsty".
so i went ahead and see how long it would take....very fucking long time haha. going back to this video, i noticed that at one point all of the walls spawned at the same time. Developer mode....didnt even think about doing that before. now time to build some cool bases.
You can't build this base. You have to swim in order to place the first frame and you can't swim with logs and long sticks. And you can't connect frames without them being complete to make a bridge to it. Cool idea. But can't be done
@@theguru143 yes. It wont go to the right depth if I do it that way. The frame will be too high above the water level. The only way I can get frame at the right level is by placing that far one first
It's also in a completely different place from where you spawn, so you'll either need climbing gear or go the long way and likely die before then. "early game" my a$$. By the time you even get there to start building such a base you'd be on at least day 10-20. And by the time you even finish maybe the 20s or 30s since you're building all of that and gathering food and water and fighting the tribe at the same time. Well with all of that it might even take longer
And voila now you have turned your lush and diverse Amazonian paradise into a barren wasteland devoid of all trees. Hmmm nice stumps? No worries its just like real life without the global temperature rise!!! Sweeet, now what else can I kill?
I think people are saying they are using the game's "developer mode" that is sorta like like a "creative mode" that lets you insta-build things so you can spend more time actually exploring the game over spending most of your time crafting/building and managing resources.
@@hayazo5305 15 days? I guess if you sneak everywhere and can't manage your time, possibly. The side of the lake he built this on is all timber, the water is readily available for the mud makers. Use anaconda island as a staging area since the fire pit, sleeping mat, and essentials are right there. Build 4 log holders and 4 long stick holders, chop down 40 trees, and store the logs and long sticks till you're ready to build. Toss down a few mud makers and burn some fires under the islands canvas. That alone might take 2 days if you're busy. There's plenty of rope on the timber side, lots of game for food. If you're used to the game, can manage your time, and get the materials before you start building then you can have everything you need to build, and then build it all in a day or two. So 7-8 in game days is completely obtainable. If you newer folks want to work on keeping busy and managing your time then I suggest doing the challenges. All the challenges except the blacksmith one (the sheer wait time on the charcoal and furnaces is what makes that one longer) can be done in less than a day. Good luck
yeah "early game". definitly not!! Just logs alone you need 76. good luck gathering them or even find that many without making the forrest around you, look like a normal garden. But it looks fine.No Hate i like your vids and some helped me out alot...
That's a fair opinion. Some people like to immerse themselves in the game for a month from a fresh start, others like myself (who started playing when it first came out) will have the main tribal camps emptied on day one. As well as a full suit of iron armor, a 3x6 two story fully mudded, around day 7. So this isn't impossible to have completed by the first week.
@@CastlePrepper Emptying all camps within a single day is just impossible. Hell even going from camp to camp is already close to the day being done, managing food, water, on the go while doing all of that in a single day? Even if this were possible it's only done by people who've played the game for that long, when 99% of the people on this video are fairly new so it would be impossible for them. having a full suit of armor would be difficult for one day because it takes about that long for the iron to even smelt.
You can no longer place any frame in the water like that. I have tried in this exact spot with the wood frame and the bamboo frame and it does not allow it. The closer i can get is just off the beach but as soon as all four posts are in the water its Red.
@@emanuelradulescu4893 sorry man you'll have to troll harder lol not only does it not work but people like Farket have had to modify the game just build how you want. The building system in this game is complete shit and they dont seem to care about fixing it. Maybe do a little research and you'll see. Plus when you put a frame that low it doesn't stay at the same level as the test since the land is rising up as you get closer to shore. This guy has the mod on and just didnt tell us is all
@@jakeb6909 I just finished his base design dude. I have some problems with the top layer but the foundations are working. You need to find a layer of earth under the water in order to work. It s not trolling. I can start my server and show it to you. I agree the building system is shit.
Jake you just proved that you don't know what you are talking about, You can see his frames go red. In the build anywhere mod it's always white. So grow up and do some research before making yourself look like a clown.
lol cheaty houses... zzzz.... in this location would be hard to build this house like this tbh especially as "starter" at least 15 ingame days to make it, if u can gather all resources
