The salvias are coming back! WOO HOOOO! Take that, winter water. That caradonna is so pretty with the dark stems.

Hello and thank you for the tour of your garden. Everything is really beautiful. I love Astrantia and I have Astrantia Major "Star of Magic" and it has variegated foliage with deep red blooms. Its slow to comeback for me for some reason. I just purchased another Astrantia called, "Sparking Stars Pink". It's now in bloom. You mentioned your love of Euphorbia. I have Euphorbia "Ascot Rainbow". It survived my winter and bloomed beautifully this Spring. The foliage on this one turns red in the autumn when the temperature drops. I get so much inspiration by watching your videos. Happy gardening from the US, James

Thanks so much James, we're glad you are enjoying our videos 😀. This is the first garden that we've been able to grow Astrantia as it didn't like all other places we've lived. They are such wonderful plants with such interesting flowers. We moved our Euphorbia 'Ascot Rainbow' to another location last year and it died over winter so we had to replace it this year and planted it in the place it was originally. Plants tell you where they want to grow! Thanks for watching James 😀

So much going on you could do a 3 hour tour of all the plants and still omit some. Crocosmia, I inherited an orange type in my old garden, it was lovely but tried to take over and harvested and gave away to a few people. My father has a red type but unsure which one, it's lovely though. Scabious, my first introduction to the plant was wild in a farm field, such a wonderful looking plant. I can't wait for my new 'Dark Knight' to grow and bloom 😃It's looking wonderful at this stage and lots more to open up, fantastic and thank you for the updated tour 😃👍

You're right, I could have easily gone on for longer! It's so easy to get carried away Richy. Sounds like you had Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora as that's really invasive. We love Scabious too but we were surprised when this one flowered as we bought it as a dark red one! Still lots more to look forward to aswell. Thanks for watching Richy 😀

@@MadAboutGardening From a quick look, it possibly was the Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora, it was evil but pretty 🤣Shame your Scabious wasn't the one you thought it was but it's still very nice 😀Looking forward to future tour vlogs, thank you and hope you're both enjoying your weekend 😀👍

Thank you for the tour of your beautiful garden. You have so many plants that are further ahead than mine. Interesting about the Foxgloves with the flowers on one side compared to the Excelsior. I've never noticed that. You have a wonderful selection of Geraniums which are also one of my favourite plants. Your garden flows so nicely. Hope you both have a great weekend. xxx

Thanks Wendy as always. We seemed to have a slow start but then when we reached the end of May, everything suddenly came together. Glad you found the foxglove flowers interesting. The cultivars are usually fuller flowered compared to the native ones. We love our geraniums as you know, they are so easy and flower for ages. Have a good weekend too xxxx

I'm in California and my Cetranthus rubus (I call it Red Valerian) is blooming right now, too! But it's considered an invasive here 🥲🫠😭

It's one of my favourite perennials but I can understand why it's considered invasive! It's a lovable thug 😁 It grows wild in some parts of the countryside here and looks great when you see the red, pink and white flowers growing together. It's loved by the bees, butterflies and also the humming-bird hawk moth.😀

Loved the garden tour - you’ve got so many that I’m planning on adding to mine…is your jasmine a star jasmine? I ask because I’ve just bought 2 online and they don’t look great ☹️. Can’t wait to see the next garden tour 💕

Thanks so much! We have the yellow jasmine, not the star jasmine. Just give yours some TLC. Sometimes plants bought online can look a bit dishevelled when they arrive but soon perk up. 🙂

What are the lovely flowers trailing down beneath the flower pot of geum?
@MadAboutGardening
@MadAboutGardening 4 месяца назад
It's a type of campanula portenschagiana. It was already planted here when we moved in. It's lovely at this time of year.

@@MadAboutGardening It certainly looks very suited for the location and set off your flower pot. Your garden is very pretty btw I appreciate the work you have put into it.
