*Wow! I'd almost forgotten about this early stuff from Leigh. Thanks for uploading it. Compared with what he does today, i.e. little else other than **_'Keith Lemon',_** it seems so naive and raw, but in an extremely funny way. To be honest, I'm a bit bored with the Keith Lemon character these days... and Celebrity Juice too, for that matter. I'm sure someone as talented as Leigh, must have literally dozens of new characters squatting in his head. At the same time, I totally understand why he continues to play it safe by sticking with Keith Lemon. He's a successful and financially, a very lucrative character to keep on playing. As my granddad used to say, **_"If it ain't broken, don't try to fix it!"_* *And I get exactly what he meant... regarding most things in life. But entertainment is a completely different thing, because characters come in, and go out of fashion with the viewing public after a few years. You only have to watch old videos on YT of things like **_"The Comedians"_** or **_"On The Buses", Dick Emery"_** and so on, in order to appreciate that what people enjoy, moves on fairly quickly.* *It was the main reason Steve Coogan tried to drop Alan Partridge, and could have done so, given the size of his repertoire (Ooo Missus!) It was only due to him being offered a stupidly lucrative contract (we're talking over £300k for each of six 30 minute episodes, which is unheard of in the UK), that he (sensibly in my opinion), brought Partridge back. And it was exactly the same reason Dawn (French) refused to do any more **_'Dibley's._* *But yes, as talented as I know Leigh is (and just downright funny anyway!) I honestly think it's now worth the risk of pushing a completely new character forward, and maybe putting Keith on the backburner for a while. Incidentally, seeing good old Cleo Rocos again, it instantly reminded me of the comedy genius, that was Kenny Everett.* *I wouldn't go as far as to say he was a close friend of mine, but I did know him well, and Cleo too for that matter. And I loved every minute I spent in his company. Not as any of his (albeit hilarious) characters, but as Kenny Everett, the man. Regardless of what was written about him in the press, I knew him for over 25 years, and he was a true gentleman. Kind, considerate, and well... just one of those people you could rely on 100% if the s**t ever hit the fan. I don't know anyone who knew him, who still doesn't miss him every single day of their lives. I know I do.😢*

It's a little silly to call this rubbish, after all everyone has to start somewhere; and actually I don't think it's rubbish at all, more raw & energetic.
