Hey kyle - great tips - I particularly like the "time on feet " long run rather than stressing about the mileage. I will try and apply it to my Chicago training for later on in the year. Started a boxing class recently for some strength work 😀 Good luck with your training 🙂
Just started week three of my marathon training. My training at the moment is a hybrid of a few plans to make it work for me since this is my first marathon. Currently running five days a week with one full rest day and one day lifting. Thinking about adding a second lift day.
Ahhh, that’s awesome! How far out is your “A” race? Sounds like you are rocking it. I have two buddies going for closer to 3:15 at Buffalo and they are sticking to 2 lifting sessions a week. So might be the right thing for you.
@@KyleMcCueRunning I am 15 weeks out now. Started an 18 week training schedule. I am going to be running Pittsburgh...so I also need to be adding hills lol.
Niceeee, get those hills! My long runs currently have about 300+ more feet of gain than the entire Buffalo marathon haha, so I should be good on hills. But no such thing as too much climbing ay? Lol
