The white flowered ceanothus looks great - a big shrub for the bees perfect for before the buddleia starts to flower. Speaking of which there are some little flower buds on my buddleia already! The yellow jasmine behind the pond looks great. I have a yellow winter jasmine for interest at that time of year. Unscented as are all winter jasmines sadly but at least adds joy with its colour for the winter. The poppies look great and those bees love them - I have an area of different types of poppies that I will show you in a video when they all flower. Thats a lot of rose buds on the climbing/rambling roses. I have a good number of buds on my veilchenblau actually considering the aphid problems I had on it a few weeks ago.
Darren .. first rose that opened up in my pots ( all roses were potted up in long deep pots due to might move house idea )..is the one my dad had bought me in 1995.. he’s been gone yr. 2000.. i took it as a message from him…. “ i’m still looking down at you from up above “

I hope your Austin’s do amazing for you! Both my Jubilee Celebration roses are very very weak. Lots of die back and hardly any new growth. Very disappointing. Not a bud in sight! 😭
@@darren-harwood Oh No....😳i got mine pottet, we have very red sandy soil so i don't plant bareroot, she wasn't great the first year but no growing backwards....🤔🤔 planted a Fallstaff 4 Weeks ago and i think she almost got to much rain...She gets yellow leaves🧐🧐.....and the Harlow Carr i got 2 Month ago finally is 30 cm high and has 3 buds🙇♀️....JC really loves full Sun, her blossom can take the heat....i hope they will start soon 👍 🙌
My dahlias are also reaaally slow this year... even the ones in the greenhouse! can't wait to see the show.. amazing... May I ask if you spray your roses at all Darren? How do you cope with pests like aphids (another video material lol!)... love your videos :)
Hello my love! I haven’t sprayed my roses this year. The birds eat the aphids. Failing that, get the hose pipe out and blast them off. Or squish them with your fingers (you might want to wear gloves.. eww) ♥️💚😘
