I was tempering my expectations for the battle of rooks rest ! Because I have been waiting a long time to see it on screen ! I’ve imagined this fight in my head for over a couple years since I first read fire and blood and was starting to worry if they would do it justice ! From the sound of what y’all are saying . I think I can rest easy a little more !

The battles I cannot wait to see; rooks rest, the gullet, kings landing, the first and second battles of tumbleton and the gods eyes. This episode is going to say a lot about how the rest of these epic moments are going to be portrayed.

The rest of the answer to how Dany’s eggs actually hatched is that George said it was a magical miracle as a result of blood magic. “Only death can pay for life.”

@@Dinaazem91 I think because a Targaryen woman needs to be involved in the blood magic. Also, I think George said Dany’s event was a miracle. She didn’t burn and she turn 3 stone dragon eggs into living fire made flesh. Dany is not fireproof. I think she survived because Miri was the one who was burned.

People complained that game of thrones seasons 1-3 were slow also. Then they sped it up in seasons 7 and 8 and look how they turned out.

If I'm being honest, season 1 and 2 of GoT and HotD are about equal to me. So far, I think season 2 is amazing! Best show on TV right now by a lot.

@@MayhapsYes it’s unfortunate that some people are saying that the season is slow and not as good as season one. But what they fail to realize is that half of season one is a prologue to the story. And season two has stepped up their efforts in the costumes and the wigs. I mean look at Jace s1 to Jace s2. I just hope they don’t "dumb" it down to appeal to the casual viewer. Although, I must say Dany’s dragons looked way better than some of the HOTD dragons. But maybe that’s just me.

@gemini3399 Game of Thrones is only as great as it is because we had 6 seasons of greatness. HotD is just as good of writing and, in my opinion, better acted than Thrones.

I hope the battle is long it seems like there will still be a bit of set up at the start which is a shame was hoping episode 3 would’ve set all the parts in motion instead of that forced reunion scene

To me Battle of the Bastards was the 2nd or 3rd best battle to me on Game of Thrones. Watchers on the Wall was my favorite battle in GOT and 2nd is Battle at Blackwater. If House of the Dragon's, a Dance of Dragons episode rivals Watchers on the Wall, I'm gonna be talking about this from years to come. I don't want to raise my expectations but I have a feeling it's gonna be awesome.

You can't be serious, I agree that the battle of the bastards looked amazing visually but the lack of logic and the amount of plot armor that Jon has, makes that fight ridiculous.

@eduardpista1487 all the battles had plot armor Stannis has plot armor Davos survives and explosion 5 feet in front of him. The show always had plot armor

@eduardpista1487 Stannis somehow makes it off the castle walls. Through Tywins entire army which is on the beach. Through the bay on fire and back to his boat. Davos would have definitely in real life been killed by a massive explosion 5 feet in front of him. It killed his son he was fine I still love the episode but GOT has always had plot armor.

The spectacle of Battle of the Bastards was good, but it’s such a bad episode. Literally nothing makes sense. Sansa, Jon, Rickon all idiots. Great first watch, but never rewatch with your brain turned on. Typical late season GoT. So hopefully, HotD Episode 4 is better than that. If it’s like Battle of the Bastards, they will lose a chunk of viewers imo. After the nonsensical ending of episode 3. Last thing you want to remind people of is season 5-8 GoT. Your review gives me hope, but the way you guys talk about BotB tempers that hope lol. Cheers.
