I'm buying a pair of greenwings and cinnamon as pets. It's fun listening to them and watching them be ducks. I used to go duck hunting, but I'm religiously apposed to 5 am. 😀
@@HighPrairieSportsmen I've kept different types of wild ducks as pets, and it's a lot of fun. It's a good way to keep the duck withdrawals down during the off season🤣. Also, I bet it would be a great way to practice your calls. Sad thing is they are tasty hamburgers to everything around.
Hey brother thanks for the detail and work you put into this video. I'm getting into waterfowl hunting and I love early teal season. I'm in southeast Iowa and we our dominated by ponds so they land everywhere 😂 but when the moment is right I want to make sure they're teal and not a woody or a pintail. Thank you again! We had a big weather change so I'm going to scout tonight and see about going in the AM 😃

I was able to watch. We have a teal season but the birds pass through so fast it’s tough to locate a spot to hunt. I’ve recently just got tired of looking and gave up after 7-8 years of nothing.
Love the video Matt this really helps me I have a rule with teal if it's wing patch is blue it's down also regarding the size due to shovelers but if I'm guessing between a Wood Duck and a teal it's probably a teal being how small it is and shovelers are generally noisier and are bigger so that helps also it sounds you do the teal call better with your mouth lol great work keep em coming teal and dove can't get here soon I'm dreaming of some dove poppers!👍
@@crmac4826 haha I'll try. The call sounds better in the marsh too. That room doesn't have great acoustics so I have to tweak the audio when I record in it.
