Game is fun because EDF, however, I wish the art style hadn't changed, as an adult fan of the series this really turned me off. The other turn off is a lack of local split screen co-op. I was looking forward to blasting some bugs with my girlfriend instead of passing the controller. I'm not a fan of the trend of companies wanting you to have multiple copies of a game, multiple systems and accounts to play together
It's a trend because of certainty. If you put couch co-op in a game, you can't be sure that everyone who buys it can even take advantage of it. If you put online multiplayer in a game, you can be sure that someone else out there would be down to play if there are enough people around. If you try to do both, then it would just eat up resources that you could have used elsewhere.

this is like a massive mash-up of edf 1-5 plus the side games like insect armageddon and iron rain. if you were a big fan of either of the latter you can run a full party of the classes from each game. the sheer variety of class play in this game is a blast.
I played one of these games on my Vita. I can't recall which one though. anyway, I did like what I played. even though playing it on the vita wasn't the best experience. (not the games fault on its own and it's not the vita's fault because it's awesome. it was just the combo of the game and console didn't gel.) do you think paying $60 just for a single player experience is reasonable? thanks.
Nice review, but you missed one important thing, the one that made this my least favorite edf: The overused Jokes and Voicelines. Every Character class has its voice lines if you switch to them, if you attack or do stuff. You switch ALOT so they repeat the same bad jokes over and over and over again. Some characters are so freaking annoying that i would like to blast them instead of the aliens. But besides that, its a realy good edf game. But gosh, turn your voiceliness down😅
and comparing to edf 4.1, edf4, and edf iron rain, this community sucks in different ways for 1, there is little to no community if you can even call it that noone plays or since the new stupid part of edfwb where you CANT join midgame lobbies like the past 3 games makes it hard to find a damn game unless someone is just chillin in lobby 2. i can hardly find a lobby, when i do, its only 1 at a time, and 9 out of 10 times they have a password on, fk em 3. when i leave a lobby open for somoene to join and i go to the bathroom while i wait for someone to join, i come back 1 minute later, somebody joined and left impatient af. fk them too guess ill just keep playing solo online lmaooo not like theres any other choice for me
