They should cover Mudvayne or some other nu-metal band possibly Drowning Pool Sinner era. But, i don’t think they’d do swears or evil, ungodly stuff. This was good enough & unexpected if anything.
About 15 years ago a mate used to come over and jump on the drums and this was one of our favs to jam after a bowl .. Be quiet and drive always came first .. ahhh good times 🤘 Sweet cover 🔥
Hmmm I don’t get why this was cover. The song is already “metal” by itself. Edit: I see it now, as there is more heavy vocals, but the original high screams made the song feel more powerful. Idk 🤷♀️. Won’t knock it because people want to play who inspired them.
I just don’t like the overly sampled drums. Ruins all I love about deftones and Abe’s drum tones over the years. Everything else is pretty good. Guitar tone is pretty good and screams are decent.
LOL...that's what a cover is all about, dude - no improvements or bringing any new shit to the table...just playing the song as close as possible to the original. that's what you call 'covering a song'.!!
It's so great to have a music expert here to educate us on what we should think about the aesthetics of sound. Any other input for the rest of us imbeciles about what we should think or feel? All hail thee, great muse of narrow-minded dogmatism!
@@heavenlee4117 Hey internet person, you're free to like it even if I didn't. I just didn't think it was real good compared to the original and said so. We all like a ton of different music and everyone should be free to call any music whatever they feel it is. Don't be too worried, there's like 10 dislikes and 450 likes. You're safe and well within the majority, you'll be fine.
@@godscoldhands77 I don't get the point of a cover like that...aside from the vocals which depend on the singer, you can always make an identical cover instrumentation-wise if you work on it long enough and use no imagination, just copy what you hear. A fresh take is more worthwhile to me. Like Johnny Cash on NIN's Hurt or Michael Jackson doing Come Together by the Beatles. Anyway, opinions don't hurt anyone so let's all have our own.
Just sounds like some aggy screamo bloke shouting over an insipid bland backing track at me mates christening. Where's the textures, grit and sensuality....Well done for trying though, it was interesting. 😊
