A what if on a what if that the viewers of this series voted on. Thrawn is discovered on his world of exile, but the ones who find him are not the empire.
Thrawn discovers the book The Art of War. He is amazed over the book's messages. On occasion, he will return to book for further knowledge or to confirm what the book taught him. Because of a single book, Earth and the Outer Republic had won a war. If Emperor Palpatine had received a copy of The Art of War, he will treat it as if it was toilet paper.
I'm just envisioning Thrawn touring great works of art saved from Earth. I'm picturing him walking the halls housing our great works carefully preserved and taken when we were forced from Earth. All of these things we as a race had deemed worth saving even as the Empire started glassing our world. Of all these, precious and intricate works taken from our cradle one he would be most intrigued by would also be one of the simplist. It would be a thing housed behind foot thick glass encased within force fields housed on a pedestal designed to keep it utterly stable and beneath a shroud that would lower to shield it if the building itself were to ever fall. What he would see is a chunk of cave wall carved out to carefully preserve cave paintings. These paintings pre-dated the Z'kuul precursor ship. So this is something from the original branch of humanity that lived on Old Earth. This was something that started our grand tradition of wanting to Create.
Not just works of art, even literature he would be most invested in. I'm also envisioning him in his ship reading in his holo-book a page from Sun Tzu's 'The Art of War' or Machiavelli's 'The Prince' in his free time or off duty
"The two gave rather 'formal' meetings." Thrawn: "Greetings, my name is-" Shepherd: "We'll bang, okay?" Thrawn: "What-" Shepherd: *"We'll bang, okay?"*
In mine own character it is perfectly possible to defect, if it does not serve the Ascendancy to have the empire as an ally, they I would find a more suitable ally, ome who could make the Chiss strong enough to deal with the far outsiders, the empire was the strongest, however had the outer republic existed they would be preferable. Some molding would be required, but they have the potential of being near equals to the Ascendancy. One Asendancy is near the equal to the empire in might, but two would be an unstoppable force, and with the resources of a fallen empire, thr far outsiders would have no hope
15:07 "despite their isolationist nature" remember, the british empire was, for a good chunk of the 18th and 19th centuries, isolationist, if expansionist, at least in europe. This proved to be an advantage in both ww1 and ww2, as the empire pre ww1 was at full strength, having stayed out of conflict with other powers. At the same time, post ww1, the empire was able to recover fairly quickly, simply due to their stockpile of resources and some, but not much, economic aid from the US.
But what if, the Outer Republic decided to have Thrawn sent to the Empire as a secret spy, and told him to keep his mind on helping the empire for show, and also send us intel, such as weaknesses. So, the rebels timeline would actually be mostly the same in this timeline. Except thrawn would inform Ezra when they were alone in his office on the Chimera, that he was an Outer republic spy. Admitting he regrets his actions with the empire. And that he would make his final stand believable. And give him the coordinates of the Outer republic home world. Then he would help the Outer Republic defend the colonies against the empire, in secret. A possibility most likely, if they found Thrawn before the Empire.
Is this going to be part of the main series cannon or is this a branch off story, i assume its a branch off story as the Chiss seem to have better relations with the Terran's in this story while in the other one they allied with the Empire and didn't seem to like the Terran's to much. Could be cool if you explore multiple scenarios and timelines during the Terran Empire War, maybe one where the Mandalorians play a larger part?
I love earth in Star war but I would prefer thrawn fighting and kicking both republics ass with his tactical mind however he might survive with the outer republic hmmmm
I agree I Think that war between Earth and the empire was to much one-sided and I did not like the whole joing the attack on the Death star I Think Earth would have built super nuks in hops of creating a m.a.d scenario and I Think that if they knew about the Death star they would unfortunately lose som of them wish the rebels just hapens to find and use agenst the Death star if the events of new hop don't accur first and all that is with out Thrawn
I see why you want it, but the destruction of Earth was more than just a plot convenience that can be out ruled by more experienced fighters being on the Terran side. It was something akin to Luke destroying the first Deathstar only difference was that the opposite thing happened. Humanity lost something but gained more. What can be different? Better defense, more enemy losses less Terran loss, lengthened siege of Earth, but the loss of the Planet forced the Terrans to do things differently, be more aggressive, and have a stronger purpose to fight the empire. The loss of Earth was as important, as the finding of their origin, and birth to fight against force users. Of course you can argue against me, but I see it like that. Seeing earth would be interesting, but in my eyes, that would decrease the new Terran (when aliens "become" Terrans) view or makes it impossible because it was a big push weakening them too much.
I started watching your latest installment and realized I needed to re-watch what had come before. It was just as amazing as I remembered. You are a great story teller and I wish you the best in all your endeavors. I would also wish you my condolences on your recent loss.....
Very good. This was enjoyable. I admit, I had my doubts, but it turned out really well. I do have a question. Is the inclusion of Thrawn going to change the original story line plot of Earth in Star Wars?
BOOFIRE191 Big question I think. Are you continuing the series without thrawn joining the Terrans along with this one? Or are you just continuing this one with thrawn? Cuz I know it'll be a lot of work doing both.
well, I wouldn't work due to the earth in star wars history number 1 so it would just be us in our lives normal and it might be around 1100-1800 if he did it
That was fucking great. Loved it. Can't wait for the next installment, and just wanted to say that I'm loving your writing a crazy amount. Keep it up dude, and good luck with college.
Its good to see you go back to your original roots and pick up on one of my favourite storylines again and the new turn which the story line took lets hope it will be longer than the last one and keep up the good work.
I have often to this video at least 30 times This may be my favorite story you have ever written To be fair to other stories you have written I have only watched less than twenty of your videos that are fan fiction I don't understand why you don't have way more subscribers If I had any friends I would recommend your channel to them Keep up the job your doing on this channel
Not going to lie, I thoroughly enjoyed this video, it makes sense with (non cannon) Thrawns character, I could easily see this as a path he could take, I look forward to where this series is going
I would love whole series about this. You'd get a lot of sub's cause videos like this on RU-vid always do very well. If I were you I'd continue this and either do it daily or twice a week, if writers block occurs do whole seasons worth and once done make your videos and while youre uploading you can make new series. Even ask for ideas on reddit or Facebook etc. You could do it
I was very impressed with all of the Earth in Star Wars vids. They have been well thought out and very plausible. Your weaving of other franchises into the Star Wars Universe is masterful. This is one more example of why I really enjoy this series. Very well done. My only "concern" is how quickly Thrawn was accepted as the new commander of the Cerberus. I would say that there would be some among the crew, no matter how green, that would have balked at a complete stranger taking command. There is a command structure beyond simply the CO and the XO. What happened to the second officer? Or the other department heads. On todays naval ships the chain of command runs all the way from the Commanding Officer all the way down to the lowest, newest, recruit. So what happened with the rest of the officers? I could see them following Thrawn's commands in the heat of battle, however I believe they would be reluctant to do so. At least until they found how effective they were, then they would fall in line. Also with Thrawn given command of the Cerberus after returning to Earth. Isnt that supposed to be their top of the line ship? Like one of their most advanced? If they gave Thrawn command of a ship I don't see them giving him THAT ship. Also what happens with Anderson? He gets hurt and wakes up to find his ship is now in the hands of an alien they rescued off an inhospitable world? I don't see him taking that well.Just a few small things that made me wonder hmmmm.... Other than that this was exceptional. Thank you for your work and keep it up.
i like it, maybe have some short tidbits about chiss and terra troops having relationships and what not? To show just how close they are to one another.
3:30 What the... the soldier on the left is not wearing effective armor. From the looks of it, she's also going commando! What kind of Mickey Mouse operation are you guys running here?
You mentioned that the Empire was giving Earth old ships. Do you think this would include the huge amount of Venator and Acclamator class ships that were phased out for the Imperal class? If so, I would think that, once the Rebels solidify, Earth might donate them? Or do you think Earth might use the ships as transports, stripping the Acclamators of their concussion missiles? I would think the Venators would stay fully operational due to the fighter focus of the Terrans. Thoughts?
In the case of old ships, I think the ships that were received would be of models older than a Venator class. Those ships are fairly recent by galactic standards and it would take some very good relations (and luck) to get those in mass and considering how BOOFIRE191's story could turn those relations are not going to be the smoothest. We could get a few but not a lot and I bet in the early stages, those would be prized ships only used in the defense of our very solar system not for colony defense fleets.
