With that much metal around? Cell repeaters would need line-of-sight to each other just to have a _chance._ It's probably a wired connection up to a wireless transmitter on top of the tallest nearby building, from there to the highest point in the city, and then going up to a satellite or something.
Imagine the interference all these Clockworks are causing. You could probably only get a range of like 500 meters from a cell phone on a place and 30 meters in a bad one.
Interesting that some of the characters are named after actual famous watch makers (Breguet for example). Naoto is also named after Naoto Fukasawa who was a designer at Seiko. Vacheron is obviously named after one of the holy trinity. The author also likes his liqueur. Vermouth, Amaretto, etc
Someone Talking about Clockwork Planet in 2022 is really rare, but it sure warms the heart. Thank you for giving this (imo) hidden gem such a spotlight
Clockwork Planet would benefit from a second season however where they ended basicaly says this is the end of the story for the veiwers but will continue saving the planet and they have alot of work to do. So I doubt theyll ever give it a second season. One can wish ^^
The whole story is pretty decent. But earth gets destroyed and some random guy makes a whole planet with gears? He is either a god or the people Just wanted to find an excuse to why the planet exist.
@@ericx6969 as far as I know, no matter how smart you are, you can't just build a massive planet made out of gears if you are a normal clock worker before. You can't find the money, materials, time, etc.
i never thought i'd actually find this anime again, it's been in my head for so long because it was such a good watch, thank you for actually making a video on this
So the Y guy was a God right? Because if the earth got destroyed... how did he survive? Let alone also created ANOTHER planet.... Was he floating in space and created gears out of nothing just by using his mind powers? And what about the rest of the pouplation? Did he imagined people into existance? Nothing makes any sense in that intro story... You cant make a whole anything just using gears... you gonna need an exterior shell, in between many other things... and if the world is made of gears and gears only... what do they eat?! Seriously, am i the only one that sees this?!
@@beans4269 Couldn't they just say, the world was breaking appart, and he did fix it and kept it from exploding by using gears? Maybe the rotation of the earth was stopping, so he created all this gear engine to keep it going... smh
@@WiSe0014 or that in was in a spaceship at the time that was make to make other spac eship but in space as a test to see if it possible but the world break so they remelt the earth and turn it to gear as to make a moving core to block sun wave
@@KarasouTengu If (CLOCKWORK PLANET) anime series isn’t going to get a Second Season made for it, and than I hope it gets rebooted someday. If it gets rebooted then there is a chance to refresh the anime show, and hopefully make more seasons for it later.
Saw the title and knew exactly which anime it was before I even started the video. Clockwork Planet. Awesome anime, does have a lot of plot left out from the first season from what I've heard, seriously needed a second season plus the light novels translated in English past the fourth volume.
Not just cogs and gears. How the planet moves and has water on the surface is a big mystery. There is also sea life, plant life, animals on the land, and humans. All that is a mystery.
@Classy Me the story is really easy to follow. Just watch the anime or read the Manga. The Manga tells where they go next anyway cause the anime leaves out a lot of plot holes. After saving Japan; marie, naota, ryuzu, and anchor go to shangri-la and run into bezel another y series automaton. Instead of worrying about how the planet is built, just watch the anime or read the Manga. Good anime.
@@samualmanning2824 All that isn’t a mystery. Sure, we don’t know a lot about certain parts of the seafloor but other than that we know almost everything about our planet.
@@eatingtheleaf4659 actually it is a mystery because how can a planet made of gears hold water on the surface when it would short out all the gears. Unless they are coated with a material to protect them.
I like this anime, it is a futuristic utopia anime with bad guys trying to destroy the planet. Y wasn't just one person it was two people a guy and a girl. Anchor proves this when Marie and Naoto argued in front of her. She says it reminds her of mommy and daddy when they argue about how she should be raised.
So do mechanical gears get affected with EMF weapons- particularly an EMP? It's not like the EMPs force gears to stop rotating. A laser or a railgun would have worked better.
Ok...so the earth was destroyed...then how did he fix it...in his destroyed workshed....and where did he get metal to even make the gears that supposedly make a planet when there is obviously no where near that much on earth to begin with....just the opening description logic has already put me off.
I know it's completely unrealistic but the amount of metal and resources must be huge to built that thing, might be as well as built an dyson sphere around the sun this way it more efficient and has 2 purpose. The inner shell surface would be the main power generation system by completely absorbing 100% of the sun natural radiation meanwhile the outer shell surface would become a habitable zones for colonization complete with a massive landmasses, multiple massive bodies of waters and etc, meanwhile creating an artificial sun to heat up and bright up the skies.
@@xanderortega4359 iron and aluminum oxydes comprise only around 12% of thr entire mass for the mantle with other metals being less then 1% combined, mantle is on its own 2/3 of the planets mass, while earth's core consists of only around 80% iron which accounts for 30% of the mass. Where did the rest come from? Evidently the mass of the planet is roughly equal to the mass of earth to be able to produce the same gravitational pull, yet with all of this iron, we wont get even get half way there, bit less then a third at best. Not to mention the question of manufacturing this while gigaproject
4:34 well no wonder there are anomalies, one engineer is shotgunning screwdrivers into the gears, lord only know what happens when those drivers wedge two tectonic gears and shatter all of clock japan
Love my favorite french watch brand breggit I suppose when you go to france you also get yourself a nice fresh baggot too then you take a trip to cayoto and get some ram-in
So someone build a planet after earth is destroyed where did he get all the metals and materials that are all together the size of a planet and how did he even build it using his hands or even machines to know that earth weigh billions of tons i think ... seems impossible unless the one who built is a cultivator with extraordinary prowess and high realm like in wuxia novels
I'm thinking it was a combination of using the metal from earth's core (cooled almost completely before collapse of earth) combined with metal sourced from the moon and asteroid belt. As for how he rebuilt it I imagine he managed it pretty easily considering one of his automata that survived a thousand years after his disappearance could move freely in a dimension perpendicular to regular time before returning to regular reality and time.
Even anime need to have strong plot not unrealistic events ... if the author needs to give godlike abilities to a character he needs to at least explain it or say it clearly in the anime ... like in most successful anime like dragon ball super there is the dragon that can grant any wish such as destroy or create universes it is explained and is very acceptable by the audience. This is the difference between well made anime and trash animes and why certain anime are super famous and popular while others are unknown and neglected
this looks something the church of the broken god would do. The whole clockworks thing sounds like the one who build it was someone high ranking in the sect of the church of the broken god called the cogwork Orthodox church.
Nah bro, they blew all their budget on the ending sequence. Smooth ass animations and Mafumafu's voice, truly legendary. The rest of the show, not so much.
wow did he even make Diamond Gears cuz there is no way metal gears are ganna hold themselves when the core starts to get a bit melty and if it just gears and nothing else im surprised it hasent collapesd under its own weight
Thank goodness. Even if the Earth is destroyed, like in that POS dark future from the Snyder Cut, humanity is capable of rebuilding the World without the Justice League.
Oh yes clockwork planet really good anime would recommend to anybody don't even have to watch the video I just read the thumbnail already know what anime it is
And how does clockwork even make a planet function as somewhere you can live? Why do we see greenery at the end of this video? That looked like regular planet Earth was still there.
