Okay, funny story... So it was a long day for me, I had to wake up at 5 for school and I had a whooole bunch of quizzes today so I was pooped when I came home. I noticed the upload and got comfy in bed, but my fatigue got the best of me and I fell asleep. (not because the video was boring, of course!) So a few minutes later I’m JOLTED awake by chugga SCREAMING about the sudden guts pill. I missed most of the video, so time for a rewatch!
So, uh... Fun fact: by the time I got to this point of the game, I was around like, level 50 because I had been stuck in the desert for so long. So I didn't really feel the difficulty spike in the dept. store :,}

Something funny I noticed when replaying the game is right after Paula gets kidnapped I tried using the phone to get rid of items, but accidently called mom while mashing through the text. She then proceeded to go through her rant about wanting to see Paula and hanging up because she thinks Paula's right next to you. Imagine Ness while horrified that his friend was kidnapped called his mom for advice and heard that.
....It took me to my probably 6th or 7th rewatch of this series to realize that Chugga just casually shows off the way to not trigger the spook at around 9:45
If Jeff didn't have that Mr. Saturn Coin equipped in this episode, he would have died multiple times and Emile would have been boned. That little mistake he made earlier saved him a big headache.
Figuring that I could come back anytime, I didn't get any new equipment at the department store at first. I had some coffee, used a secret herb, it was pretty good.
As we all know, Emile has the blood of a banshee. It only shows rarely when something really good happens like when he gets a 1/128 item, or a shiny version of the pokemon he wanted shows up.

Mooks are strangely adorable (Though their official art/clay model looks better than the in-game sprite) I imagine them all having hilarious threats lol.
I hate this department store. All I wanted was to withdraw some money to upgrade before losing Paula, and I lose Paula because I went to withdraw money; so I couldn't upgrade and had a harder time getting through.
Boffo is not an acronym, its a positive descriptor (like saying its a 'totally awesome sale'), using vernacular that is super, super old (not 90s, it might be 70s or 60s)

Hyper Beam is useless if you have Jeff’s IQ at 34+ already, and it’s not hard if you can get lucky with that 10K Exp bug in the Desert. I didn’t need the Hyper Beam.
