Not a single branch on the nest moved. That is a quality build.

Even a few minutes prior to the shake, parent Eagle looks to be on high alert. The cam only capture him lifted off the nest right around the time when he detected the initial shake and we can't see what he did but seems to me that he didn't go perch anywhere as he quickly came back down on the nest again. Then mom flew back in to check on her babies, and dad took off for immediate patrol. This is a dedicated pair.

I'm just fascinated with birds' nests, imagine building something so big with just your claws and beak and flying back and forth for just about each and every stick.

A very well built nest, stayed together. Doesn't look like anything was lost and the eaglets are safe. Great going mom and dad.

Watched this several times. I always notice the parent moving to other side of nest causing chicks to move away from the edge before the quake. He possibly pre sensed the quake. Nice catch of this action. Thx to cam operators at the time.

Nice work dad, I like how he first looked to see if there were any direct threats then flew off to check to see if there were any unseen threats below , very nice.

The nest is built to earthquake standards! It is allowed to sway! Good job, majestic momma! Great footage. She circled and saw no danger, so like a good mother, she returned to her babies. One was so stressed his little tongue was sticking out! Poor little eaglet. Then at long last Dad arrives and she tries to tell him how her day went, but he just looks at the precious little eaglets with great pride! She tries to calm the family down and then takes off to get dinner! God is good! ✝️🙏🏻❤💫⚘🥰👍
