Thankyou for the tutorial.i just picked my 1st Afterneath up a couple of weeks ago.loved it.so cool.i brought a Moog expression pedal to get the most out of the drag feature. My only question would be.,"when using the afterneath would you use it as your main reverb and turn down the reverb on your amp? or do you use both?. I use a EHX oceans 11 for the spring reverb but I'm not sure if I should have this pedal running along side my afterneath too?. I understand my question is subjective but I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on this.⭐

Great question! I usually pair it with the reverb from my Vox AC15, or with the Context 2 by Red Panda for extra spaced-out stuff! But it’s great on its own! So, you don’t ‘need’ another reverb necessarily, but adding more reverbs is always a fun decision 🙂🤘 Thank you for watching!

why is your afterneath slightly asymmetrical with the design

Any experience using this with high gain? Metal shredder, trying to find the perfect reverb for metal. Which is annoying. There are a million and 1 demo's catered for metal, regarding distortion units, wah pedals, and pitch shifters. But for reverb, there are none that I can find.

Great question! I’m a shred guy myself, and in my opinion, any of the EQD reverbs sound great with high gain! I actually use their Astral Destiny on my usual gigging pedalboard and it never disappoints!

Haven’t used it in the recording process yet, but going to this winter! Sorry I can’t help more, but I can definitely vouch for it sounding great!

Just got this pedal, love the features. Why is it that the exp pedal doesn't control the drag? In the commercial vid from Earthquaker it shows an exp pedal working: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_VO8xWoXaWc.html is there a way to set this up? Thanks again for the video!

Thanks for your comment, man! It actually does control the drag, and setting it up should be normal. In my video when I said the drag knob no longer works, I just meant that with the exp plugged in, that’s what is controlling the drag now. Sorry for any confusion! Let me know if you have any other issues, I’d be happy to help out! Thanks again!

@@MatthewChapmanMusic oh yes, I see what you meant. However, I'm doing a bit of trouble shooting. I plugged in my Moog EP3 to the exp input on the side of the Afterneath and it still doesn't affect the drag at all. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Hmm. Tough to say without being able to be in front of it. But I know with a few of the modes, the drag knob functions differently. Have you tried using the expression on every mode just to see if it works? If that doesn’t work, I’d suggest reaching to EQD’s customer service. They’re beyond fantastic, and super helpful. They repair anything for free as well, so worth a try if these things don’t help. Good luck, man!

@@adamelmore898 are you using a TRS cable for the expression pedal and not a regular TS guitar cable? that is my problem sometimes. my line 6 helix works fine with a boss dual expresssion pedal with a TS cable, but my Boss pedal does not work with the boss expression pedal with a TS cable lol, only TRS. which is standard I guess, it's just funny that line 6 was more compatible with my boss exp than my boss synth pedal was.

@@adamelmore898 also look at the specs for the pots in your moog expression pedal. if it has 20K pots or 500K pots, etc... it will only be compatible with certain pedals.

Hi, Im sorry but this demo is terrible. just play the guitar with the pedal set in a few usable settings. I just bought this pedal 1 hour ago. I've been playing for 29 years, tried it all ! Been lucky to be able to. This is the best sounding reverb pedal I have ever heard. It sounds like an actual 50k studio plate reverb. It is off the charts incredible!
