I had a context v1, which I love, and sold to buy the v2 in a couple of months. On the reverbs they share (v1 and V2), how do they compare? Are they same sounding, just with V2 having more parameters? I really hope the plate and gated are the same...

I would say they sound very similar to the V1 tones! In their words, they’ve kept the original modes but cleaned up the circuitry. The plate mode is by far my favorite on the V1 and V2! Let me know what you think about the V2 when you get it!

I sold the v1 for the v2 which came in the post today. I gotta say I’m having trouble getting the plate and cathedral to sound like they did on v1

Is there 1 preset available per reverb mode or 1 preset total across all modes? That is, when you enter preset mode does the preset provided depend on the position of the reverb mode knob?

Yes it does! You cycle between presets by hitting the preset footswitch, and using the Reverb Mode knob to select which one you’re on!

@Eugene BLAC yes, that is indeed the case. The remote 4 gives you 4 presets for each one as well, so if you do actually need more than one preset for each mode, that’s a good way to access extra toanz

Unfortunately that's not how it works. The context v2 stores a single preset in the pedal, and it will always recall the same preset no matter what mode you're in. When you have the preset active and rotate the mode knob you start changing the preset on the fly, but when you exit the preset and call it again, the original saved preset configurations will be recalled.

Nice. Waiting for mine, was scheduled to be delivered by UPS for today, but got pushed back until tomorrow, but what are you gonna do? I loved v1 and all the same nice sounds, but a lot more fun things. Most reverbs have a modulated mode or a mode with delay, but this lets you do modulation and delay on EVERY setting? That's sick. Cathedral is my favorite mode.

Right on! Personally, I really dig all the changes they’ve made! And the presets thing is killer since I have way too many pedals on my board. Haha. Thanks for your input man!

As an owner of 2, soon to be 3, Red Panda pedals, I really wish they had a solution for recalling presets on all of their pedals using a single controller. What do you use?
