Here's the fun part. Since I think the movie designs are hideous, I also get a lot of hate from the Movie crowd as being a Geewunner. I just can't win. Geewunners hate me for not being a Geewunner, Baywunners hate me for being a Geewunner.

I love Soundwave, I think that guy finds him self in just about everyone's top 5.

@@PerspectiveEnd Definitely not 100 percent perfect with those old parts from when he turned into well, whatever you consider his cybertronian alt mode. Poor Decepticons have mostly been banished to the ambiguous-shape alt mode.

I don't know that I'd say that. I'd say that theirs good about both, and if you could combine the two of them you'd get a super Soundwave.

So good. Sooooo Good. Seriously, that is the figure that gave me the modern addiction to toys. I'm trying to recapture of the High I got off MP Soundwave, one of the most satisfying toy's of all time.

Thank you very much. I just think Light piping at best looks SLIGHTLY better than painted eyes, and almost as good as Chrome eyes, but 99% of the time they aren't and their best, and the result is they look dead and lifeless. And even when it's lit up you have to shove the light piping up a bulbs ass to get it to work properly, putting the rest of the figure in shadow.

@@HamManReviews And that moment can look pretty cool I agree, but it's only at those times, that it looks good. Paint or Chrome never look bad, and that's why I like them.

I mean that's just obvious. That's like looking at a sports car and then at a horse buggy with no horse and saying that one is better than the other.

I disagree. The MP is one of the best figures ever made, and this can't even stand in that one's shadow.

Well it’s not fair to compare mainline to masterpiece I mean when you look at the usual masterpiece price which is well over 100 dollars compared to mainly 20 to 50

You can get a KO of the MP on ebay for like 55 bucks, it's totally worth it.

Yeah I mean as far as Chug Soundwaves go it's one of the few one's that looks mostly right and turns into the right thing. Personally I don't expect the Fanstoys to be better than the MP.

I am not one of those people who says dumb crap like Hasblow. They make tons of really good stuff. This figure left me wanting though, and I'm not going to water down my opinion because I want to be nice to lifeless hunks of plastic. Watch my 86 Grimlock video Review and tell me that I'm never positive about Chug stuff. Watch my Nautilator review and tell me I can't be nice to things that probably aren't deserving. I tell you exactly what you are in for if you buy a figure. If you come away from one of my videos still wanting the figure, then you can probably rest assured that you will like it. If you don't like my videos it's fine, you don't have to. But I don't think your evaluation of me is accurate.

I wouldn't say that. There are many ER figures I'd put above him, in terms of what's best from ER.

I feel you on that, the fact that it's just going to be the netflix one with 1 SINGLE new cassette is a serious bummer! They better fix the arms.

It needs new shins too, but otherwise I agree.

Scalpers are douches though, who make it hard to find the stuff we normally could and charge us twice the price for the stuff we should have gotten easily. I mean it's nice that they serve a function for people who might not be able to get them normally, but for people like me, buying from them is akin to rewarding a pick pocket with a tip after they robbed me.

Why when they relis a soundwave with more them one casset as his minnion they never use Lazerbeak AND Buzzsaw the same way as they use RUMBLE and FRENZY. Aka create and use 2 diffrent characters using one mold.

Na this was borderline cheap compared to some of the stuff I've bought. I got lucky and one was just on a shelf at Walmart when I was there for something else. Never seen one since.

To be fair that's true, but he also had a worse robot mode. So how is it in almost 40 years did we only trade one good mode for another? How are both not fantastic at this point.

I mean all that would be awesome to have, but even the full sized MP couldn't make all that work. MP could only fit the two cassettes and the buttons only half worked so I don't see how you'll fit that in something half the size.

It was the Masterpiece 1.0. Never had an actual Bumblebee growing up, so my first and only ever is the MP.

At 3 dollars why not just spend 43 and get both. It's not even 1/10th more to do that. And I'd say both figures are about comparable.

No I don't. I got lucky and it was just there on a shelf once when I was actually getting other stuff, after I'd been looking for it for months my self. You might be able to buy it on Walmart.com and get it shipped to your local Walmart, that's my best advice.

I'm glad you like both. For me I just wanted more out of the Earthrise version. I didn't mention it but it really feels like they took something that wasn't meant to have that mode and slapped it together.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I can understand that. The figure is a bit flawed, but it always feels a Little Bad talking people out of getting a figure when I'm this conflicted about it. I can't say that it sucks but it leaves me wanting a lot more.

Imo lightpiping makes a character look dead from three out of four angles. It works well when the figure’s directly in front of a window of a light, but most of the time there’s a glassy void where the eyes should be.

MP Soundwave is absolutely the thing you should stick with. And I dislike light piping because it only looks decent some of the time. Most of the time it's completely lifeless, and even when it looks decent it rarely looks amazing. Let me tell you, yes I feel like a mad man cause that Pace is a harsh mistress, and I almost postponed this very video to Sunday to give my self a small break. But I want to hit AT LEAST 5K before I do that, preferably 10. Well, happy birthday, I'm glad I could make this work for more people. Realistically at this point I have enough followers that every day I post there are two birthdays I'm celebrating. And thanks for the Complement. That's actually one of the things I aim for with my channel. A slightly more heavily produced Baltmatrix. A Thew but faster. A Vangelus but with fewer parts that people want to skip like posability. A Jobby but with out all the sex jokes. I kind of want to land in the center of the Venn Diagram between all those guys. I suppose the best way to phrase it is: Efficient like Baltmatrix, but with Higher Production Values. Charming like Thew, but without all the DEEPLY thought out word play. Informative like Vangelus, but not at the expense of brevity. And Funny like Jobby, but not at the expense of video release rate due to taking so much time to make sure each script is hilarious. If I'm worse than them in all those categories I'm happy as long as I at least made it into all the categories.

No I don't play it, but the Cultural Osmosis of it is basically unavoidable, and I do watch the animated bits cause those are good fun.

Sometimes people just get lucky. I was originally looking for Soundwave online, since newly released figures are slow to get into stock from where I live, and the figure was being sold for way more than it should have been. However, I eventually happened upon the Netflix Soundwave and Netflix Optimus at a Walmart that was further out from where I live (without even actively looking for the figures) which was surprise since most of the stores around where I live barely ever have transformer figures in stock that aren’t a few Studio Series and Cyberverse. What sucks about trying to find these hard to find figures is that scalpers always capitalize on their rarity, and try to sell the figures for double the price. It’s some of the most frustrating experiences ever.

Believe me it was not NO trouble, well it kind of technically was. I looked for him for months and when I finally gave up he was just at the store when I was there to get food, so it was both easy and hard to find him. I'd say just buy a KO MP it's infinitely more satisfying than this figure is.

That will pop up from time to time, but it does seem like people are finding it more striking, as both the videos that used it have a way higher view rating than normal.

Yeah I wanted to like this a lot more than I did, but it just left me feeling empty. It could very well be that it's just that I've already experienced the mountain top of Soundwave figures so all future Soundwaves will just feel lacking to me. I do think it does feel a bit slapdash though. Like it feels like a different figure that was wrangled into what we were all asking for.

You can get Cheetor on the BBTs right now, and I've seen them in stores several times at this point.
