I did not claim the Americans as my ancestral land in this video. I am African American and with that, speak about the ties we have to this land and how it has protected/provided for us for many generations. I am speaking about advocacy for this land and for the indigenous knowledge and practices that existed here far before colonization. I don’t have to be [your version of, though it is unclear] ancestrally tied to do that and that’s kinda the point of the video. (edited indigenous to ancestrally tied to clarify)
