Thanks for this. Not only was I able to make two pairs in less than 24 hours with this technique, but it also helped me to actually learn the half double crochet stitch. I am a beginner so this was really helpful

I had trouble seeing your video you were out of the camera a little bit. I had trouble working in the back stiches ended up going crooked on both ends so I started over by working in both loops and counting them to make the edges straight. I did make gloves though. Thank you!

This was my 3rd real crochet project (the first couple have just been granny square and flat circle doily/placemat) and....they turned out quite well! Didn't take too long, looked and fit nice. One thing I misunderstood is that the # of chains determines the length not the width of the gloves. I would have done more chains if I understood that so they would cover more of my hand. Maybe I'll do that for the next pair.

I am a little confused. Do you go into the third chain from the hook only on the first row? I am having trouble maintaining 25 stitches, and having it look even all the way along. It didn't seem too clear on Row 2 because you went too fast for me to see what you were doing.

I have a way that makes it so easy to get the yarn through the eye of the needle: use masking tape and tape the yarn perpendicular to the tape. Cut off excess on the side of yarn without cutting the yarn. No more fraying and struggling with the yarn!

Hi Yolanda :What is the size of crochet hook are using here? Also with this size of needle how many strands of yarn do have here, I don't know what medium weight is?
@missyminx5989
@missyminx5989 11 лет назад
Treble means three. Its called like that because you go through two loops three times. Double crochet is called like that because you go through two loops two times.
@shelshi1991
@shelshi1991 12 лет назад
How can I make my stitching become more even? My base chain is almost always too tight and makes the rest of the project warp or curl a bit. It doesn't really ruin anything but it is pretty annoying when I'm trying to check to see if it's even. That and that it makes it hard to start the second row =(

I have an amazing idea. Why don't people start making tutorials about how to make actual gloves. None of this fingerless glove none sense. Do you know how many videos there are on this type of glove? A lot. So make a video in gloves with FINGERS because there are only 3 videos for that. 1 isn't in English and the other 2 don't have clear instrustions

Renegade Zombie I like to watch these types of gloves because then I can make it my own, and so I just add the fingers or a mitten top and then make a thumb finger.
