Do you hear the fuel pump cycle? Check the relay and check the ignition module. On a fox the ignition mod it right on the distributor. Might as well replace it if its old anyhow. Also might as well replace the ignition switch under the dash while your at it. I had this problem on my 94. Ignition mod failed 3 times in less than a year. Finally grabbed a used one from pick n pull and its been fine ever since. Hard to get those motorcraft parts these days. It could even be that big lame ass CCRM relay behind the fender.

I had to change the fuel pump in my avalanche and this is exactly what I did vs dropping the fuel tank. It ain't stupid if it works. Lol

ill never under stand why people just take a grinder and go to town . no one has made a good kit to make this hole and now you have a big hole and rusty edges now. what time did you save mabye a hour but the holes forever !!
