Wow! This was an interesting list. It contained A LOT of very unique games that I have not heard of before (and obviously haven’t heard others talk about, either - because then I would have heard of them)!
On vacation and yet I still have to carve out time to watch you guys! Great list! Land vs. Sea is a great choice! Other ones that I like are Guild Of Merchants Explorers, Canopy, Herbaceous and Foundations of Rome.
Love this topic! Great list of games. My quick and easy set up would be Santorini. My husband Jeff hasn't figured out yet how to beat me at this game yet. Santorini keeps coming to the table. DE JA VU is right up my alley.
Love this list! I am the person that ALWAYS wants to play a game and I am constantly looking for east to table games that I can con my friends and family into often. I love a lot on your list and I’m going to have to get la boca! My favs not included would be any button shy games, second chance (my daughters fav), bandido, and skull king.
I tend to favour quick set up games so I have more than I can count! Crossing, Wavelength, Can’t Stop, Impact (basically the same thing as Strike!), Roll for It, Clack Thwack, Dead Mans Draw, Star Realms, there’s gotta be more but they’ve either been mentioned or I need to go stare at my game wall more.
I love these type of list! Regicide is a great pick, we actually played this at the beach in a tent before ⛱️ some other quick set-up games that come to mind are: Railroad Ink, Boba Majong, Sushi Go (OG), Hive, Star Realms, Push, and MonDRAWsity. DeJaVu and La Boca sound really fun!!! Have a great weekend
I've been enjoying Dungeons, Dice, and Danger quite a bit lately, and that's pretty much pick which of the 4 Dungeon sheets you want to use and start rolling dice.
Great list! I love Abandon All Artichokes . However, while the tin is cute, I wish it had just come in either a more regular shape (like Sushi Go) or in just a small box. My tin had not held up to travel and now has to be rubber banded or it doesn’t stay closed.
I really want to try land vs sea!!! I have found roll and writes generally really easy to table like That's pretty clever, such a fast game to play once you know how
Null & Nichtig looks like a great game for my group. Since it cant be found anywhere I just designed my own custom deck and having it professionally printed.
Apropos of nothing…I just backed the new Christmas Dice Throne game. It looks awesome. Apparently includes some balancing for previous characters, too. Delivers in December. Can’t wait!
Such a great list! Some of my favourite easy to table games are crossovers with yours - Land vs Sea and Regicide! But I also love Unmatched, Azul, Hanamikoji, Herbaceous and Caper Europe for easy set up and ease of play. For me easy to table also means I know the rules inside out and there's no refresh required 😎
I'm surprised Hive didn't make the list. Setup is just, "Separate black and white pieces. Now play." Biker Mice From Mars were the baddest mama jamas in the universe!
Aside from the myriad of card games, the easiest game I have to set up would be 7 Wonders Architects. Open the box, everyone takes a tray, and you're basically ready to go.
Abandon All Artichokes should be farther back in the list because it's difficult to table from that tin being so gosh darn difficult to open sometimes 🤣
#TeamDiceinABowl ... Strike is just pure fun. Easy and fast. But not gladiators in an arena. Easy set up games. Six, Cascadia, Cribbage, OG Azul, Three Sisters, Qwixx, Qwirkle, Glux, Sprawlopolis, Cinco Linko.
Lands Vs Sea gives me an “inspired by Carcassonne” vibe with the whole tile matching and area building mechanic, including the scoring bonuses based on what’s on the tiles. I haven’t played Carc in ages, but am I right or am I thinking of something else?
