Great stuff. I had a problem getting the pod holder out of a Picolo XS, so I boiled some hot water, turned the coffee machine upside down, and poured hot water directly into the bottom of the pod holder, which released the stuck capsule and the pod holder.

got the same problem but mine is of those smaller who turn on automatically when you put a capsule on and now is stuck and it won't even turn on... any ideas?
Carolina I have fixed it with a metal knife. The smaller machines can get stuck because of pressure use a fork underneath and poke until you have coffee coming out. Do over the sink just in case. Also next time. Take out the pod after you're done.
I used a refillable pod and maybe overpacked it with coffee, i got one drink but its stuck and ran water all the way through and still stuck its only a day old machine 😭
I had a stuck refillable one, I had to get a knife or something flat and stick in the holder and push down on the refillable pod and pull. No damage but be very careful.
Thank you very much. Quick fix. I'm getting better at remembering to TAKE THE POD OUT each time. This one was in for a few days and not budging. Bit of advice, though. This was so quick, the video could've been half as long. I've a few instructional videos up and I hope I don't do the same thing. This is also a 'note to self'!
@@mrsridders okay so i figured it out on mine. Open and close the locking lid, every time it closed on mine, it leaked water so i put a cup underneath and just opened and closed the lid until i could remove the pod draw. I have a piccolo xs
@@TheChloe6991 thank you! I read this too late. What I did was to stick a metal food pick underneath (where the coffee comes out) and destroyed the capsule to release the pressure. It works every time, because I keep forgetting to take them out when I'm in a rush.
@@TheChloe6991 i’m having the same problem right now. and i’m currently doing the open and close thingy and it leaks water every single time. how long will i be doing this? i’m scared i might break this machine lmao
There's easier way (how i did it). Stab the capsule from hole below (anything sharp and narrow). Unplug from electricity. Run water into the stabbed capsule that now has bigger hole). Then it will soften a bit and you can start the process wiggling it out. Also if it losens a bit you can insert a knife and cut the capsule in the new found small gap from upper corner of capsule. Slowly slowly it will come out. There's nothing else in capsule holder (just capsule itself) so it is no danger of damaging anything.
I found out that if the pump is no longer pumping water, meaning the water tank is empty. the stuck situation will happen. best not to let the water tank goes empty when the capsule is in.
