A lot of universal license plate Tail Tidy's stick out more than we would like. here is the easiest way to make your own short custom Cafe Racer licence plate mount/tail tidy using some basic tools.

Thanks for the video, I was thinking how I was going to mount my tag, didn’t want a side mount , I did the same as you , thanks again,now I needed a tag light but found tag bolts with a led in the bolt head that works perfectly

you actually have a good point there 🤔 I will have to have a chat with a roadworthy guy to see what I can and can’t get away with. This bike won’t be a daily rider I still want to make sure I don’t attract unwonted attention more than it already will lol 😂

Yeah i got done no reflector and wrong angle on my bike eariler this year on the highway on the gc $160 fine and 1 demerit point.. Looks cool like that though haha

@@CafeRacerGarage i ended up making a new side mount bracket and made the base plate around half a cm larger then the plate then added reflector tape behind the plate.. Been pulled over since and no issues

I did the same to my thumbs but instead of a ceiling fan it was a table saw on one thumb and a Sawzall on the other lol

Is there any law regarding the angle of a number plate to the ground. Speed trap cameras couldn’t read a number at such an shallow angle, which could be a good thing but is it legal ?

Just distract him and bend it down when he isn’t looking lol 😂 I don’t see what the problem is officer 🤷‍♂️ 🤣. Jokes aside. I will find out the rules before venturing too far. Keep in mind this bike won’t be a daily rider

Pretty nice result, Dan. I’m guessing that much of horizontal angle might not be acceptable here in my state of Delaware. Is it ok there? I’ve seen some guys mount the plate sideways coming off the chain guard... which is probably pushing the limit here. BTW, you should be thankful you don’t have to deal with the plates they use in the UK- they’re the same size as the car ones! In any event, wishing you and family a super new year! 🏍👍🏍

Yes I’ve seen those massive plates they have and I feel sorry for them but you’ve gotta do what’s legal. According to the rules that I know, we just have to have the plate visible 20m from a 45° arch anywhere from behind the bike. Plate angle isn’t really mentioned it’s more the visibility I think. I’m sure I will find out it that isn’t correct. That’s why it’s made from alloy :)

Make sure you watch the other video as it might give you some ideas. It’s one of those things that you think about for ages and then once it’s on the bike you never really noticed it too much it’s just an evil necessity 👍

I love the small license plate! Danish plates are 165x240 mm (Take a look: img.nordjyske.dk/s3/nj-prod-public-images/wCjSAhKdrW5kg1jLqm72h9hLqvI.jpg) BTW. Don't you need lighting for the plate in AU?

That’s not cheap ‘ what if you don’t have those machines and lazer and all that’s things you used in the video then just the process is just ridiculous.. then you realy went off track to using the one bolt “ your making the plate for your special bike. Not every has abundant 750 with that shape the video supine about making a cheap efficient plate holder I thought that’s what the video was about . I ok so the video was for whoever has a bike like yours which thas just stupid
