good thing to note: on FAST autoscroll, if you have a item on a parachute one block above the note block it's supposed to hit, it will play at the same time as if it were placed 5 blocks later. This is useful if you want two instruments to play the same note, of if some stuff doesn't line up correctly
I was very skeptical at first, started the video like, “yeah, sure Darby, we’ll see how ‘easy’ this is 🤨”. But holy crap, that’s fairly straightforward😳. I might actually make a level now. 😁
Nice video Darby! If I owned this game I would try the following music level. Game Style: Super Mario World Theme: Castle Enemies: Chain Chomps, Dry Bones and lava across the entire bottom of the screen. Objective: Stay ahead of auto scroll using swinging claws. Artist: Alice in Chains Song: Them Bones
Thanks for bringing this to my attention! ^_^ Actually I made a music level and you played it before...but it has a lot of off-pitches. Maybe this program can do some fixes in the pitches. ^^
Can you do this on phone? I tried to select peace and tranquillity because I wanted to make it a while ago. Also if you do it on a computer do you need to download the song?
Cool idea. There is hours and hours of fun within this. Not easy as it looks for sure. Loved what you did. You can imagine the music people have done with this. Great rock hits and things like that.
I tried doing Zero's Battle Theme from Kirby's Dreamland 3 but i gave up because it didnt sound the same. But after seeing the Note Height Placement and the Track Removal, i got the courage to try again... But i gotta wait 'till next week, i should've watched the whole tutorial... :/
Besides, it was my first time doing a good music level, the others i made in the original in my 3DS were not that good... So, i guess i gotta do the theme from the start...
Man, this looks ancient. They’ve updated it recently and it makes it even easier to make levels. It even has an auto build that shows you how to do the setups!
What if I have to place 2 noteblocks with only one space (vertically) between them? I can't find a way to make the bottom item disappear after triggering the note block only once because there's no space above it...
Okay I just found out it is technically possible HOWEVER you can only do this if you put the bottom note block(with wings) on a short open ended track.
Oh my goodness!!! The only important thing I learned watching this was that I can press and hold the - button to "play from beginning"!!!! How did I never figure that out? /Facepalm
@@BlueTelevisionGames totally did! I feel so stupid how many times I've manually scrolled back to the start of the level while crumbling about why Nintendo would have removed that function!
Will that generator be updated to handle much larger MIDI files or more complicated kinds with multiple tracks? I noticed when I try to do it with one, it is all squished up together. I even compared it with other larger KB files that could be equal or close to having multiple or is longer and it went out fine. I dunno if the MIDI file is corrupted or not.

@@gobobilly That works, because when I get a Switch for Mario Maker 2 (didn't even play the first game), I plan on making a level similar to SM64 with a staircase at the end before the boss. Unless they have the key, all they can do is cycle back to the bottom (don't worry, I'd only repeat it three times max).
Blue Television Games oh thanks! every time i’ve seen that term used by teachers and such, it was typically used as in “beats per measure”. it was just kinda weird to hear it used that way even though they are completely different and separate from each other :)
I think the website is broken because I tried downloading the Autumn Mountain theme from the description of another video and it won't let me. Then I tried Kindom Hearts Insider but it doesn't have Nintendo Switch or Paper Mario the Origami King.

,,,,,,,That trance version of the main theme dr mario tune is awesome, now i only wish you showed more examples of how to create music, amd i wish you played the original versions of a song, because you spended waay more time how to create a level rather then on the musical part.
