Wood defender is a really good product. I like a good oil stain. Used 20 gallons of leatherwood recently. Turned out great!

Great video. I'm sold. Great tips! I want to seal/stain our cedar fence clear to maintain the natural cedar color. Aesthetically, since I can only access my side, will it grey out anyway if not treated on both sides? I understand its not optimally protected.

I have a wood fence in my that it was already painted when I moved in with some kind of a green color paint. It looks like it’s faded and chipping off surface is very uneven, What do I do in a case like this do I have to sand first and then apply the stain fence looks like it’s pretty old.

Okay so after cleaning the fence an having a prep for staining how long should I have to wait till I can stain? Did you say 3 to 6 months or? Or would I be able to stain after 48 hours?

Wood defender stains are'nt worth it, they will not list the length of time the stain lasts and do not warranty the stain

I’m gonna bookmark this one. Next spring I’ll have a couple of benches to stain… but they aren’t built yet. Just one question… how long does it take to cure enough that wifey doesn’t get it in the seat of her white shorts?

For any kind of garden furniture application you should check out the Wood Defender 200 series which is formulated for decks (www.swifence.com/search/wood+defender+200/). That should dry within 48 hours. The fence stain has a much longer cure time and isn't meant for high-contact areas.
