This guy literally could be making other videos besides helping people and still provides us with knowledge. The fact that he puts time and effort into helping people shows he seriously is worth subscribing to.

These are the type of videos I love. I was doing RU-vid 8 years ago then recently came back. Every RU-vidr shows the same 5 “tricks” but this is somthing new. Great video!
I have set myself target for two years - in this period I will make as much video as I can and then assess. Remember the journey at the start is hard so be patient 😊
I never even knew about this. Thank you Nick. Can you please place the steps as well in the description. I am trying to do these steps along the video. But I can't rewind due to I missed a step as well. Plus I don't want to mess with your audience attention rate with the video as well. My data don't support yet on subscribers gained. Can you please tell me why?

I had never created group, I am posting videos and putting them into the relevant Playlist. What you suggest shall I create groups similar to Playlist ??? Looking forward to hear from you.
Grouping content in your analytics is for doing comparisons between different sorts of content, thumbnails, etc. A good example would be grouping a set of thumbnails with your face v's without your face. You can then see which group, on average has a higher CTR. You can also group by topic to see what topics tend to get more engagement, a higher average view duration, etc. Playlists are grouping content for the benefit of the viewers - sorted by topic, series, etc. Groups for analysis - Playlists for discoverability.
We just started our channel a week ago and we can't believe how supportive the RU-vid community has been 😃😄 Don't give up on your channel. It doesn't matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop!
Where and how do you create the groups? Does RU-vid not categorise/create the groups based on the content uploaded? Thank you for your help in advance! 💯
In your Studio dashboard in Analytics Advanced Mode. Clicking on your Channel Name in the top left opens a window with several options, tap on Groups to get started. These are unrelated to anything RU-vid does and unrelated to Playlists which is for presenting videos around particular topics and in particular playback order. Groups can be made for anything you want to track - color of the thumbnails, video series, long videos, short videos, etc.
@@NickNimmin Thank you for taking the time to reply Nick, it really means a lot! 😃 In regards to the content itself, does RU-vid assign different CPMs determined on individual video basis (example: Vlog style video vs Financial education vid on the same channel)? Or does RU-vid categorise the entire channel into a specific category and then assigns a given CPM as a whole based on that? I've finally decided to pull the trigger after overcoming 'analysis paralysis', and decided to tackle RU-vid seriously. I wasn't sure whether I should experiment with videos on this channel I created back in 2006, or should I create a brand new one entirely and experiment with different types of content. Your guidance and feedback are tremendously valued and appreciated ❤️
CPMs are not "assigned". They can fluctuate video to video based on the audience watching, the topic, ad inventory, and so many other factors. Every ad that plays has its own rate, so the CPM is going to fluctuate continually as more ads are served over time. That fluctuation will be seen on each video as it gets more views, the average CPM for your channel as a whole will fluctuate as well.

With enough data, the information can show us where opportunities lie to double-down on certain content and focus less on low performing content. Making sure you understand the data before taking action and test any hypothesis based on the data. The key thing is to make sure you have a healthy amount of videos out so that the data is meaningful before going down this road.
