I remember East Cleveland in the early 80's I had relatives that owned houses you had to have a well paying job to live there. The city was never low income. The way it is now is a direct result of social engineering for gentrification. Soon only people who work or go to Case Western Reserve or work at Cleveland Clinic or University Hospital will be able to afford to live in East Cleveland.
My parents got married in mid '69 and bought a house there on Glynn Rd. We lived there until they got divorced in '75 or so. My dad kept the house until '80 or '81. I always liked Glynn Rd and we still have a friend who's lived on Glynn since '65. Good video here, Gino600, 👍
Just a note this is not the East side of Cleveland, this is a inner suburb , making it sadder yet ,one a the first suburban planned area in the county of Cuyahoga
How can anyone be inspired to do better with life under these conditions to wake up and see this everyday is to be depressed everyday we gotta stop putting all our trust in politicians because these situations didn't happen over night they been happening
Y’all are funny . It’s not even that bad out there .. yes it looks bad but looks can be very deceiving . If your kind and you mind your buissness& arnt down there to start crap or push people’s buttons chances are u won’t get messed with .. but u need to no how to keep your head down and keep moving .
At the start of video, you drove past some old public housing projects that were built to house the poor. They trashed those new apartments in less than ten years, became un liveable in twenty years. Who was to blame?
pretty bad! most of inner city Cleveland is beat up or run down. It looks a lot like Detroit. The roads are just tore up. i wouldn't even drive a mack truck through there its so worn out
Why don't your other videos have the word "hood" in them? Alternatively, why couldn't this video be titled simply, "East Cleveland Driving Tour" like your videos in the suburbs? Genuine question.
I am convinced that People are only happy when they are a victim because you look at the crime and how these neighborhoods look like shit holes but yet the People continue election the same Democrat Politicians.

@@knyghtryder3599 you obviously don’t realize who ran East Cleveland from 1968 until now. All democrats. My mother grew up in East Cleveland and it was never that bad. Democrat mayors and overly corrupt mayors and council all democrats killed the city. Please check your facts sir
