East Kilbride Electrification update - July 2024 

As an Englishman I'm very jealous of Scotland's rolling electrification program. We need one.

It is long overdue electrification of the line to east kilbride from glasgow central. Shift workers will have a fast link to glasgow city centre well done the engineers.

Nice to see electrification on the East Kilbride line taking place. Once completed ScotRail will use the Class 320, Class 380 and Class 385. Why not electrify the rest of the Glasgow South Western line down to Dumfries and Kilmarnock and to electrify from Ayr to Stranraer.

Not sure what they meant by "completing the remaining foundations on the route" at 0:30. Some specialist terminology I guess.

and also class 318 but i'd imagine the EK line will use 385s, 380s, 320s and 318s. Most likely 385s or 380s.
