Drummond Island contains 13 separate ecosystems, including this coastal marsh that gets inundated with water on a regular basis. Over the years, vehicles traveling through the water have created obstacles and muddy pits throughout this trail increasing its difficulty. Now this little over a mile loop is a test of a rig, their driver, and in some cases their fortitude. If you are up for the challenge, or you just can’t resist a muddy mess, head out to the East Marblehead Loop and see if you can tackle it.

Really underrated video…. Great scenery! Whoever flew the drone was good at maneuvering it around all those branches/twigs while being above water…. Wasn’t sure if it was in follow mode or spotlight mode or track. I like yellow jeeps! Hahaha you don’t see them that much anymore so it’s fun to see them once in awhile. Just a great gorgeous video! Nice work❤

Yes, I LOVE IT. I'm originally from the midwest and remember mudding in the 70's with our CJ's. Nothing to climb except some creek walls and a few ditches. Mud was the think and getting stuck was always a laugh with the boys and a beer. Thanks you!

So. Rumor on Drummond is that Marble Head was sprayed with graffiti over this weekend. Please tell the D.I. Tourist Bureau what day/time your group was there & what shape it was in so they can narrow down a timeframe & find the vandals. Islanders will do the rest. Spread the word in your off-road circles. Just watched the video. Your video is mislabeled. You are on the South loop to Marblehead. A Jeep badge of honor trail. By the way good video. I have been wheeling Drummond Island for decades.

No, we were out there in June or July this year, and it was fairly dry. But certain trails will always have standing water. The water goes up as the lake rises, or after periods of rain/snow. But Drummond Island overall you should always plan for water and mud.
