About Alex and Georgi: They need to run that back, Georgi being on antibiotics for a week really really saps your strength, plus not being able to plant your feet fully...I'm glad he was a warrior and pulled, but I think if they run that match back that will be an incredible war.
You understate. To me Georgie was half dead. Seriously I thought he got "shot" while walking out from backstage (i didnt know at that time that he was injured).
Hey Ray! Engin gets a lot af praise but lets be clear! He wouldn't do half as good without you! You are the jack of many trades and steam-engin that keeps things rolling! Thank you. 💪👍👌
@@youtuberbayleexiong908 Understatement. he looked to me half-dead and 100% focused on his leg and potentially pain. like he walked out of the backstage I thought "wtf is happening here got he shot"?
@Tasmanaut not today! Schoolboy said that's why he lost...doesn't matter how strong you are if you run out of puff. Levan focused on it for this match as well.
What I love about the levan Devon match is it also proves that in the first match levan would have destroyed Devon either way even if he didn’t tear the bicep. All the fan girls KEPT saying it would have been different if he didn’t get hurt. This match proves it would have made ZERO difference. LEVAN IS KING 👑
I was shocked by how good Devon looked in the first round, didn't think Levan would have to press, especially not having to come that far across the table to do it. But after that it went how most of us expected. The shock of the match was that the stop came round one and never again, rather than it coming in the later rounds. Overall a very good event. Lots of exciting matches.
@cC_97_Cc ya definitely both I think. Devon got stretched right out and lost his stopping power. Regardless he wouldn't have won. But i feel like both for the fact that levan crossed center and devon dropped down too low. The match should've been stopped a few seconds earlier.
Trust me. Lavan did that to troll Devon fans… just held him in place , then the ultimate troll was the flop wrist which Devon said Lavon didn’t have. It was just a master troll session
The event was absolutely amazing. My only complaint is that the PPV sound was diabolical for the first 5 or 6 matches. Most of the time it was silent (no sound from the auditorium at all) with loud commentary where we could only hear Travis and whoever was on 2nd mic was inaudible or muted. I was shocked how long it took before it improved. They should have somebody monitoring the stream to stop this. It was much worse than previous events and annoyed me as I felt I didn't get what I paid for.
@@deanharvey3093 Yep although the commentary was great there were few technical issues. However the whole event is worth more than its cost so we still got alot of value.
It’s not a lesson lol of course he can get stronger. Theres nothing anyone can do Devon is dominating everyone else and is the clear number 2.! The gap is just too big from Levan to the field
Devon still holds the 115kg title and he could cut down to 105kg to become a 3-division EvW champ. Something I don't believe anyone will replicate except maybe Alizhan Muratov.
What an event from the first match all the way to the main event it will be tough to beat that, levan what a monster hes gonna be the peak for a long time, hard-core devon fan here i aint disappointed im actually looking forward to seeing him in his natural weight class where we will hopefully see many more years hes a legend and has and still is continuing todo alot for the sport. Hes still the heavyweight champ 🏆 thankyou engin terzi for all these incredible events it was well worth the money spent
what a fantastic event. so many good matches. and yes, i rooted for Levan and enjoyed him being healed up again and winning. only thing i noticed is the crowd behind the table getting visibly tired and low energy. also, in the Davit match we see the necessity for a camera-ref so the checks go faster. but yea, GREAT JOB guys.
Absolutely amazing event. Still waiting for the day they hire a professional sound engineer. The audio was once again, all over the place. Microphones not working, the wrong microphones being activated, the wrong volume levels. Like: Do a PRE_STREAM SOUNDCHECK. Even amateur bands who play live do soundchecks before they play... --- Or have 1 or 2 preliminary free fights like the UFC does. That's an excellent time to get all the microphones and volume levels fixed.
This underlines how good Ivan Matyushenko is on the left arm since he dominated Kamil. Now I want to see 105kg champion Alizhan Muratov challenge 115kg champion Ivan Matyushenko.
I didn't expect Alizhan to frickin' BLAST THROUGH the 30kg heavier Ermes. I thought Ermes would give him more difficulty but it looked like Alizhan's previous match vs Prudnik
I hope you guys will fix the sound issues before going live again. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the 6 ½ hours, but I had to turn the volume way up in order to hear Coach Ray whisper, and then Travis comes on and blows my windows out 🙄
RVJ really needs to bring his A game otherwise Leonidas will beat him. It's good to see that RVJ has been so active and focused recently. This opportunity might present itself at the perfect time for RVJ. Definitely wanna see this match
For me EvW12, despite the technical difficulties, were the best AR event ever. What a show, what crazy matches and unexpected outcomes. It was just fun to watch and Leonidas beating Schoolboy, just wow hahaha.
Even the cat often plays a little before eating the mouse. The first round Levan held Devon down to make him believe he had hope. Then he gave him his pay by massacring him and showing him who's boss... Stem cells, oxygen masks. Now Larratt won't be funny anymore. Levan made him understand who's boss and this time Devon understood it well.
@@ramwejlirap6729 it's not about strong but weight diff making the game uneven. Just like levan cannot move an elephant's leg when it just stands there- do you think it's because elephant is stronger or it;s weight diff?
Devon needs to train a new generation of giants. The Strongmen had their giants age starting with Shaw and Savickas. Its time for some massive people to come in and challenge Levan
That exactly what my first thought was. Devon has done everything he is capable of doing and tapped into all of his potential. Sometimes it’s just not enough against the best in the world. He has all the tools to be the guy who can coach someone who has the tools physically to beat Levan. If Devon can’t beat him… teach someone else to beat him.
@kraig3967 Devon showed that there are some physical differences that technique and training can't overcome. Now he needs to instill that drive and his technique into someone as big or bigger than Levan. Levan isn't used to people being as strong/big as him. Devon is used to going above his weight. If Brian Shaw started armwrestling five years ago, think Levan would be in trouble today. But Brian is getting too old now as well.
I bought quite a few events now, no complaints so far, but tbh the audio was absolutely atrocious in the first half. Improved by the end so it was not annoying. I dont know whether there is a new audio team or equipment but really not befitting to an event like this.
They need to make more events, and a promotional code, or something for yearly purchases. Is too expensive for an online event, considering dollar price in my country.
Levan said he felt devons arm strength go way down after he pressed. Devon screwed up and shlda just let it go when Levan had to press. He got way too stretched out fighting it.
@@Andrey_PushbikeStop with the lame excuses. Devon has repeatedly said he's in the absolute strongest and most peak shape of his life! He said his whole training camp was PERFECT. The fact is, Levan is wayyyyyyy too strong for the best version of Devon, period.
in the first round I believe that levan either faked it or he was not comfortable. It seemed as if devon matched him in strength but we clearly saw after round 1 the match was complete domination for levan. Exactly the same as the first time they pulled which is crazy because devon is at his peak rn.
@@kasavaman007he didn't gas out , levan was not trying to flashpin him in the first round. Just warming up . After that he just pinned him with side pressure
levan said in the post match interview that his wrist didn't feel 100% so he had to warm it up and see how well it can perform it was literally just a warm up for his lmao the results of the other rounds speak for themselves
Sucks to see Devon lose especially after all the hype. But hey on the bright side, his T-Rex arm got straightened out. Levan did what no physiotherapist or surgeon could. That's a plus point.
Unpopular opinion: a 7hr event does not grow the sport. With all the new eyes on arm wrestling, you want to make it more approachable (entertaining) to the casual viewer. I've supported every event and even I found myself celebrating when it was a quick 3-0 match. Audio quality for the stream was not where it needed to be. It would have been nice for the commentators to acknowledge the situation and for the production team to pause the event to address the issue versus continually toggling thr audio volume while live. I listened to Travis repeat himself and yell in my ear for 7 hours while I could barely hear Ray or Neil. I'm not sharing to discount all of the hard work that went into the event. I hope Engin receives it constructively and considers shortening future events or doing it over two days.
Travis sounded pretty repeatitive too and often looked like he had no idea what he was talking about. But the "Sweatkov" and "Shagginassvili" parts were funny. 😂
And yet they sold more PPV than ever. I agree with you on the audio issues, that was problematic. But this long format is great. Go watch normal tournaments where matches last 30s if you aren't happy with this format...
It’s almost like Devon’s arm was done after round 1. Didn’t even try inside or press with his frame out of desperation. Had nothing after that round and his arm was 3x size after round 1.
About Georgi and Alex… that was sad to watch, clearly Giorgi was not at 100% also could not step on the floor with his feet and generate force on the table…
Why is Janis not competing in EvW? I would love to see him back, hes the guy when it comes to technical armwrestling I am sure he could kick some ass and make a lot of viewers excited...
@@nighthawk0077 That means nothing, if someone lifts more than you and weighs more than you, they are still stronger than you. It's called absolute. It's not POUND FOR POUND arm wrestling. If you can't compete in open then you go lower weight categories.
@@nighthawk0077 fanboys had no problem when Auden larrett outweighed his opponent that was OK because they both agreed to take the match but now it’s not OK. Fanboys are a joke.
Only because of his brutal strength people tend to forget how strong Levan's foundations are and it seems not to be fair to him. He knows everything about armwrestling, he is technically well rounded, he can do all moves. Just because of his strength no one has challenged him so far to demonstrate his full arsenal of moves. I hope Alex will challenge him enough. Or maybe Brian Shaw? Who knows... Guy is a beast. Devon is amazing, but Levan is just incredible. We still do not know where his limits are when he is this well prepared.
It's very simple by now. People who battle for the hand, they lose against Devon, but he has a big weakness - biceps. His wrist is too strong for his bicep, and once his bicep gets fried, it doesn't matter how good his arm is.
I would say biceps and back pressure. I always disagreed with devon when he says that curling is not so much important. And thats exactly what It was missing for Devon to stop Levan. U wont stop Levan with pronation only. Thats not happening.
@@medix6864 it works with everyone, as in exposing his weakness. Genadi did the same. In his previous fights he fought in a toproll lane and his wrist could not handle it, and with Dev after the first round he understood that there's no point in fighting a losing battle, so he used a press giving up his wrist, as he had no way to win that. His bicep gassed and voala. AW is about millimeters there and there, Devon without a doubt is the number 2, it's just that the gap between his biceps is too big.
@@prashantsinghsisodia6709 Riser and pronation, wrist in general, and he is right - hand is the most important. Levan's wrist may be a tad bit weaker in general, but Devons bicep just can't handle the load. No one is able to fully utilize their arm against Dev because their wrist doesn't hold, so you have one option - forget it and attack the bicep. Genadi did that, and won. Levan did that too.
No. 100% opposite. Levan GAVE UP his wrist to flop press (by definition). He could have stayed center like Devon. with intact wrist, so Devon (as AW) didnt crack the wrist of Levan, Levan GAVE IT UP to win. Then to make it more beautiful, LEVAN cracked the wrist of DEVON in EACH ROUND, while Devon was arguing that he will crack the wrist of Levan even though it was the reverse. Devon lost bicep AND wrist EACH ROUND (except round 1). I think Levan can do 90% better if he has intact wrist AND presses (like Devon did to Erme), else he could lose energy FAST.
levan gave up his wrist, you can literally see it was his decision by how quick he went for a fake side pressure and instantly changed into a press, which caught devon completely off guard
@@Nanamin69 and that absolutely had a big impact on Devon. That transition to the press did way more damage to Devon than Levan. From this point on it was one way traffic in favor of Levan. Took Devon's wrist easily each round. BEAST
@@Andreimaran69 That's true. One other reason could be the sheer influence he has over the armwrestling community and fans. You try and be a little strict with him and you will be targeted and criticized by thousands and thousands of angry fans and nobody wants to be that guy.
Its not like he has better endurance… its just power difference and makes you get exhausted faster. Like, Devon was 110% in that first round and Levan was 80-90%… that makes the weaker to get exhausted and endurance did not play a factor, again too much power difference
Devon still pound for pound best in my opinion. I’m excited to see him kill all the other armwrestlers realistically near his weight. Congrats to Levon but dude weighs nearly 400lbs it’s insane Devon can beat so many dudes so much heavier. Oh well he can’t beat Levon still a legend
it wasent close at all.i was rooting for devon but obviously levan i wayyyyyy stronger an obviously on more steroide...ect i dont think nobody can beat im😅
😊 Always surprises me how easily people believe in the hype completely ignoring things that are in front of them…. It was always Levan there was never Devon, marketing and social media do not make up for pure, raw horsepower on the table!
......nothing makes up for a 60kg / 120lbs+ weight advantage There are weight classes for a reason. There just aren’t enough people big enough to have more weight classes after like 250lbs, so Levan at 400lbs just gets to smash on smaller guys the majority of the time And I like and respect Levan , he is very skilled, but the reality is the weight advantage is a massive advantage. You wouldn’t expect a 70kg puller to beat another elite puller even 30kg more than them, let alone double that
