Larry at this point is more a youtuber than anything else, he cleary has the strength to be much more, but you can't expect to excel at something without 100% focus, every six months he changes idea and starts to do something else. Eventually he will be good enough at everything but the best at nothing. Maybe thats what he wants, who knows.
he always talks about being at the top, he won't get to the top by changing disciple literally every 6 months.... it's the best thing for the channel though so i don't blame him.@@VehicleVibes_
@@harmankardon478 I agree with your second comment... Just not your first. "He won't get anywhere with anything." Like dude. VERY successful RU-vidr. VERY successful brand. VERY successful powerlifter. And he was GREAT at body building and strong man. He is already the RU-vid equivalent of a household name and has reached peaks in MULTIPLE avenues that many would never get close to touching in one. If he dedicated EVERYTHING to arm wrestling for at least 2 years, no doubt he'd take some big names.
If Larry doesn't focus on arm wrestling more, I doubt he could get much better, he's going against people who focus fully on arm wrestling in most cases.
@@zufarashim9228 Yeah I only heard about leonidis the last year or so. He annihilated Larry here. Brutal like an old school emmet till dragging through the mud. Hitting the gas and finishing him as he saw fit.
No janis is just very propper most people are in his country thats why he didnt comment. Most countries honestly think americans are trashy. Thats the truth behind it. It went over your head actually. I thought it was funny but that is the tuth behind it. I do agree america is trashy for the most part. Our country is flat out fucked.
I always root for Larry Wheels, and hoping one day, soon perhaps, he wins Arm-Wrestling competition ...and those who believe Larry Wheels will win soon God bless you 2, but respect the others 🙏
He won some competition in Mexico. What is great of course. But king of table or east Vs west are too high league for him. At this time. Maybe after 2 years.
2 things: 1) obvious one. Larry needs to focus on armwrestling fulltime if he wants to get anywhere in the sport. 2) He is overestimating himself and picking very tough opponent. He needs to go slow and compete as lower levels and accumulate some smaller victories under his belt, that will not only give him confidence but a lot of experience.
@@MaxMustermann-cr2zh no powerlift anymore, he tries to get stronger in the gym and focus on armwrestling. In the same time he tries to stay lean. he trains squats and benchpress but not so heavy anymore. and he is not doing deadlifts anymore at least not on video anymore. but he focus on bicepscurls strengths. but he focus in the gym to every muscle and has the potential to do a bodybuilding show one day, i mean he just needs a bodybuilding diet then he would be ready to go
Hmm I am not sure he needs to go full time to get better at arm-wrestling, the thing about Larry is he can, Press, Toproll and Hook very good I can use Toproll and Hook and press in a toproll so he has more than me and is also stronger but its like he does not understand when to use what and his force to injury risk does not exist. I would at most of the times give up on a direction of a winning move against another person to train after doing it 1-5 time, if I feels uncomfortable for my, muscles, bones ligaments and so on. For me if the body crying out in pain, then it is not just something you should ignore its not just random signals to the brain. Larry seems overly scared of pain from the bones + connective tissue and blissfully ignorant of the pain from his muscles, if the object moves and he feels pain then it seems like he just keeps going, because moving closer to a pin is good and you win by doing that. So its like he only stops when he goes over the line and not before. Its like a recipe on how to injure the muscles in armwrestling. I think because of that way of pulling that it will very hard for him not to always feel pain, when having a match. If you keep pulling where it hurts then its going to keep hurting. And going for a toproll side ways, based on armpower without trying to take the hand fully and not having more sidepressure, must be the number 1 way to damage the arm. Its just like the people who have a lot of pressing power that can just press and win easily over a lot but lose there power over time because they pressed without caring about the paint in the 1-3 seconds it took to win and the body just cant take the damage. And Leoniadas knows he has good hook, so he hooks and he takes his time until he has established a dominant hook and goes for the pin. Other that Larry needs to condition his body better for armwrestling, the rest is all in his head and his table ig is so bad. To me Larry does not first need to get stronger, he needs to get smarter first. He just have not passed the minimum barrier in smarts, and he needs more smarts because of his bad instincts on pulling safe.
To me, Larry didn't seem very motivated or enthusiastic this event. I think his interests are too divided right now. Would love to see him do just an entire year focused on training for armwrestling.
Even if he said that the injury didn't stop him physically, It could have impacted him mentally. If you know you are slightly injured and it may be worse it would probably affect his will for offensive attack. He went from a winning position in his head to -I hope i don't get a long term injury.
Leonidas is nowhere near top 15 on right arm, but I find people tend to be really disrespectful about his results. Dude works, is calm, crazy strong (remember is video with Ermes on curls?), and nice. Hope Larry is ok.
I feel like Larry is too nice, he needs to show more ferocity, he shows passion and rage when lifting unanimate objects but he needs to apply the same agression to wanting absolutely break someone’s arm
I dont know if he actually popped something or not but that is psychologically a huge damage to continue, i doubt you could commit 100% after having this accident in the first round. Also Larry still struggles against kings move and he wastes sooo much energy before he realises what to do or doesnt realise what to do against it. Add body building competitions that he was mainly focusing on and was putting armwrestling to rest and the result is becoming totally expected.
@@taliesine.8343 I don't mean to add any fuel to any fires, but Larry did just have that tragic incident of breaking somebody's arm accidentally. He could've been more prone to focusing on a potential arm injury because of that too, which again, is a subconscious limiter. But I'm sure Leonidas had plenty of subconscious limiters too. What matters in the end for winning a match, however, is that the winner overcomes all of their limitations and comes out on top anyways.
Larry is really gifted his strength and genetics are elite he has the potential to reach the top at Bodybuilding, Armwrestling, power lifting, and other strength sports. The problem is that he is trying to do all of that together which is preventing him to reach the top. He needs to focus on one thing at a time bodybuilding and Armwrestling don't complement each other bodybuilding is turning your body into art getting shredded on the other hand Armwrestling is a strength sport
@@godabhi8599 bro bodybuilding resembles with strength sport just take an example of arm wrestling which requires impressive forearm, biceps, triceps and techniques that's it all these parameters are ticked by bodybuilders except technique
@ankitbishnoi4470 Pro bodybuilders don't train specifically for strength they train to get huge while maintaining symmetry, conditioning, balance, etc they don't train for strength, stamina, endurance, flexibility etc and even if they include these in their training it would always be the bare minimum if it gets in the way of there bodybuilding then they'll stop. Most bodybuilders during their final stage of prep are really weak because of their extreme diet, water cut, dehydration, etc they look strong on the stage but during that specific time they are really weak and exhausted so much soo that they fall during show and sometimes even die. Larry was preping for bodybuilding during his left match vs Leonidas he was way lighter and weaker he could have done better even now we can clearly see that his level has dropped significantly because of not training consistently
It doesn't matter for me how good is Larry, he has a big audience, so it is a win for the sport that he takes part in it. I hope more names will try this sport too, to make it even more popular.
one thing with Larry, he's known for intensity and rage when it comes to powerlifting, he wants it so bad he's willing to die for a deadlift but then when it comes to arm wrestling he's the complete opposite, I really think he needs to back himself and commit to one sport. I just don't see him ever having the drive to fully commit to arm wrestling and want to win just like he did with powerlifting.
@@TheJohnbusi 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣I think he is still stupid to take part in kott ...doesn't he have the mind that.."I am not fit to take part in it..I still have a lot of training to do?""🤣
@@Ironsvillagehe does have immense natural strength. Of course he is not natural he is on roids. But most people doing roids like him and training just like him still can‘t hit the same weight numbers he does ever! they never will be at that level. so he clearly has insane natural strength. greetings from europe!
it's just a pity that most strongman lifts dont really translate all that well into armwrestling. otherwise, every powerliftr would mop the floor with other guys. just lok at larrat. doesn't do any conventional lifts and he's at the top @@googlemapsspeedruns777
The multi talent Arkona would do well in all power sport competitions. He has natural strength, good genetics and will-power. Open bodybuilding is calling. Lets go
Larry seems to have lost some of the info gained by all the worlds best arm wrestlers he spent time with.. he needs to commit more if he is going to compete at this level
That's what I was thinking. He was moving like an arm wrestler not that long ago, in this one ,just on the arm, not using his entire structure ....hope he isn't hurt .
@@markmtbridersometimes that all goes out the window when you feel someone really really strong, it’s hard to use any techniques when someone can counter them well. Also add in pressure of a serious event and your drawing a blank when it counts. It sucks but it’s part of the game
Devon said it already Larry gotta decide Armwrestling or bodybuilding because he can't do both of them together. If he walks two paths at the same time, then he'll never reach the top level in either of them
He will never be a top bodybuilder because of his genetics and his age. I think he makes enough money with his social Media. Maybe as an actor. He is such a nice guy😊
Larry should focus on power lifting. That's what he is great at and where he really has potential to be one of the GOATs. Body building, arm wrestling, strongmen, you name it. He tried it all and it is simply not going well.
@IvanRandomDude it's totally up to him I believe that he just need to commit to one thing to achieve greatness. He likes the longevity of Armwrestling that's why he got into it and he also got off steroids only taking trt so he has lost decent amount of strength. He would definitely have to hop back if he wants to powerlift
Larry’s getting better!! Like people stated he needs to focus strictly on arm wrestling. He has potential to be really great but he’s so busy doing too many other things. I always root for Larry!!
I really respect Larry for pushing himself and testing himself doing different things but arm wrestling strength and conditioning at this level is so specific...i think even tho he must understand he still doesn't seem to fully comprehend that he cant just overpwer every obstacle in his path to be great at everything he does, if hes really serious about armwrestling (which im not sure if he is) he needs to learn to really observe and take onboard what great armwrestlers do and focus on. Its almost like he doesn't think normally rules apply to him
Leo went easy on Larry. After the scare of a possible injury- he was careful every match after. Both men has huge respect and care for each other. Absolutely amazing match. Larry keep loosing- this will give you fuel to train for arm wrestling. You have to look homeless if you want to win hahaha
Problem is Larry doesn’t take armwrestling seriously enough. He keeps doing too much of everything, but if he REALLY wants to improve for armwrestling, he needs to stick with training for that solely, which obviously Larry won’t, so rip. Leónidas on other hand actually is more passionate, check his channel what a beast
It's technique and mindset that's holding Larry back. You can see he tends to resort to power over technique once the match has begun. It's the whole Tyson theory of "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth." This is what separates the upper echelon from the lower is being able to maintain focus to understand the physics of each match. I hope Larry gets there but will always love and respect the man he is regardless of wins or losses. He's a champion and a warrior. Props to Leoniadas, the better armwrestler.
@@LagiaArm Well for one work position when the match was stopped in good position for him round 1, have to work through that hand. And setting up round 2 like Ray said he has to rise into that toproll not just before the start, he just doesnt feel armwrestling if yk what I mean
Larry wheels needs to focus and spend more time in arm-wreslting.. He is strong for sure but he is dealing with the elites, not just any arm wrestlers .. great match btw
Also anyone going on KOTT or EvW is an elite arm wrestler for me, they are already top 5% in the world or even less just for being invited. I hope I can compete too in the future
Correctz me if I am wrong, but when Leonidas was in a kings move, couldn’t Larry have readjusted over his arm and did a triceps push? It seems like it was right there for the taking, but he never tried.
Was ein einseitiger und unsportlicher Kommentator. He did love to see Larry as the winner...und behandelt Leonidas dann auch dementsprechend!
Larry is always halfway in, he starts training seriously. Does a match and goes to fly a kite for several months then decides he wants to armwrestle again. With that half ass attitude he’ll never win against really good armwrestles. 😂😂
Great match up with these two. Im from the states and am alot more up on Larry, want to see him get a nice win. Could tell this one hit him, but he kept it real. We see him again.
I can't understand his future bcz sometime he plays bodybuilding sometimes arm wrestling sometimes strong man Larry focus on one thing u have definitely potential to be a champion love u❤❤❤❤❤
He already did that by being 3 separate weight class powerlifting champion, taking the most impressive title/total in the 308 pound class. He’s a world champion in powerlifting, and has an successful company and channel. He’s just having fun now until he finds something that makes him passionate enough to go all in again.
@@heikojohnmoller7853I keep hearing this but you do realize Larry has Leonidis beat in every lift right? Every single one. Look up there highlights and it will show you
I don't think he should've accepted this match when he's going to be participating in Bodybuilding contests that detract from his preparations. It's a different animal to strongman, powerlifting or bodybuilding.
Why is Larry still not fighting in the setup and hitting on the go? He's had this problem since Day 1 in the gym. Someone needs to unblock him mentally on this, it makes no sense. His trainer needs to force him to watch Pushkar videos at least an hour a day.
The commentary was really bad in this match. The whole match they assume Larry has injured in first round and talking thats the reason for his loss. They did not acknowledge that Leonidas was just stronger and better, they always stated that Larry is injured. After the match Larry told that he was not injured and had no problems in the other rounds... so the whole commentary was really bullshit... Hope they learn their lesson and will be careful with blind assumptions in future matches. I like Rays commentary and his knowledge about armwrestling. He can good explain whats going on on the table... but in this match he was totally wrong
Mad respect to Larry for respecting his body moreso than the stage and the match and the people around him... that i'm sure is tough to let go of. and enough not to injure himself further... Larry may be compared to Yamcha but at least he's on the DBZ crew to begin with!!
Nope. Larry is respecting his reputation. The guy is a stick of butter, soft soft soft. The guy can’t stay healthy long enough to be competitive at anything long term. He has bombed more events than finished.
