Honestly, I really like this scene. When Ben first came to Walford, he was a nice young boy who was raised to do the right thing, however growing up in Walford clearly messed him up, Stella, juvenile detention, having Phil Mitchell as a damn father, all of this messed Ben up, and killing Heather was the culmination of how far gone Ben had become, and after months of lies, Ben finally decides to just do the right thing and turn himself in, it shows that Ben understands what he did was wrong and instead of lying about it and running from it like Phil is encouraging, he decides to do the right thing and turn himself in, which shows that the real Ben is in there somewhere. Joshua Pascoe gets a bad rap as Ben, and while his acting was certainly off at times, I think he played “twisted angsty teen” version of Ben quite well.
Phil has lost Ben three times when he went to prison 1) went to prison for attacking Jordan 2) went to prison for murdering Heather 3) got arrested when the police thinks he killed Lucy
I didn’t like this actor just cause everyone said he was the worst, but actually watching his time back as Ben, he’s actually quite good at embracing the dark side of Ben, as well as the vulnerable, he may not be the best Ben, but he’s not as bad as everyone’s making him out to be
Abdul Wahab Na max bowden is great but Harry Reid is the best for me he because he brought much more emotion to the character like the death of Paul trying to convince the square he changed since his murder so yeah for me Harry Reid nailed it as Ben 👍
Too bad this didn't actually end with Julia's theme as this was the last episode of EastEnders I watched on a regular basis. I did tune in for the 30th Anniversary episodes in 2015. But apart from that, my interest in EastEnders ended with this episode. I wanted to see Ben back in prison for murdering Heather before I stopped watching for good.
Slash Ben was set to leave Eastenders, that's why and he came back on the 22nd and 23rd September 2014 but played by Harry Reid replacing Joshua Pascoe. But in 2013 Ben was mentioned by other people who are still in Eastenders and appeared in a cameo school picture frame
He was shanked in the side the day after and bled out on the yard because the guards were paid off to ignore him. Try to be noble in the prison system, eh? LOL bad move.
