Hard to find someone that isn't "selling" his own product as much as he is selling the industry of wood splitters. Andrew even said whether you buy from him or someone else you are getting quality. That says alot more about Andrew and his integrity than what it sounds like and it was so quick.

That’s a great machine Andrew ,that would be the one I would take. I have a lot of big wood that I split, 3-4 hundred lbs per round . Small rounds one can pick up, usually two people, everything else it’s pallet forks or backhoe. But my 35 ton splitter says more . Great videos keep on splitting

Where do you get your hydraulic pumps from
@TheTorkerman
@TheTorkerman 2 года назад
On this machine, seeing it is your biggest baddest model, wouldn’t it make sense to add an extra function valve, with quick connects for the conveyor? Better than running 2 motors right? Just an idea Andrew
@EastonmadeWoodSplitters
@EastonmadeWoodSplitters 2 года назад
Yep thats a great idea. The only issue is is robbing flow from a single pump. We do have a through drive tandem pump for doing this if someone wanted to
@Ken-Muir
@Ken-Muir 2 года назад
Looks a great machine! How easy is it to clean out the last log from the machine? Since the blades on the wedge are staggered, the blades furthest from the ram only partially split the log. Don't think I've seen a video showing this last "tidy-up" after splitting.
@EastonmadeWoodSplitters
@EastonmadeWoodSplitters 2 года назад
Pretty easy. As long as it not something really stringy or knotty it normally pulls right out

@clarkharms

I am not really sold on the 12-way wedge. Seems that the outer splits are not splitting completely and size is not as well controlled as it would be with the box wedge. One of the best features of the eastonmade is the ability to change out wedges and the ease of doing so. I don’t know if there is any other machine that allows a box wedge to be changed out let alone be changed in height.
@josevelasco3245
@josevelasco3245 2 года назад
I have the 12 way but on the gas version 22-28. A 16 way designed the same way fixes the outer portion issue but available only on the processors. Anyway, I found the workaround is you lower the wedge than usual instead of dead center on a big round. The result is only re-splitting the outer 4 up top. The middle 4 and lower outer 4 are good size because the middle is static size and you lowered the wedge to get the bottoms to the nice smaller size. Now you take the outer top 4 that are big to the side, raise your wedge all the way, rest your split on the beam and run it to split using only the single knife portion or center the split through the middle 4 wedges as it acts as a 4 way if they are huge . Seriously much faster than the 4 way. Hope that make sense. It’s a clever design when you really stop and look at it. The box wedge is great but really it’s best for big 20 inches and up and straight grained. Otherwise you create a giant mess. You really have to run it to understand how much kindling it creates. However the splits do come out nice 👍🏼.

Does the 12 way make less waste than the box wedge on my 22-28? I know it depends on type/quality of wood, but I'm making 1 cord of waste per 4 cords of stacked wood. Gonna mount up the 6 way next time and see how it turns out. Going to use the ss attachment to bust up the big chunks first.
