This Minecraft Froglight Farm and Frog guide was a lot of fun to make. These frogs offer new challenges and really make you think about your build. Biomes have become an important aspect in this farm. Check out the different spawn biomes for frogs in the link below.

This is excellent, thank you. I'm pretty sure ghasts need 4 blocks tall to spawn, so I think once you put the roof on you can remove those slabs to free up spawning spaces.

In Java the lever will pop off the piston when it gets activated. You can get the same effect though by placing the redstone torch instead of on the piston left of the powered rail, on a solid block behind the powered rail, then place the lever on the back side of that solid block. It’s not as convenient to get to, but it works.

I used leads through tunnels at the top of the neither then dropped down a 2x1 hole with scaffolding on top of the farm to get them in.

This still works on 1.20 and works well. I put the slabs on the ceiling instead of the floor. I tried carpets on the floor to block ghast spawns but they still spawned. I did have to protect the iron golem with more fence posts as he was taking damage. I did a a brief trial with end rod bug trident killers to kill ghasts but did not have much success as the trident fell when I left the area. Gruva was able to do a double trap door to keep them from falling but I did not test it. I was able to remove slabs and pull the ghasts out of the spawn chamber using the scaffolding/activator/minecart method ala Silentwisperer but did not follow through on trying to kill them per his tutorial.

It’s just a shame that I don’t like the new light blocks at all. But with how much this farm produces you can use them instead of torches. Nether farms are especially good on console when you don’t have a one player sleep mod Great job Stoic

So the CraftyMynes SMP Server finally updated to 1.19 today and I got some frogs to put in the farm, but the frogs were jumping out the top where they could kill things that wouldn't be picked up by the rail. I even tried building up one more block, but the frogs were still jumping out. I would recommend building this at least 2 blocks deeper, or do like I did and use honey blocks on the floor so the frogs can't jump at all =)

@@StoicEpoch Actually, im not sure now if the medium magmas are breaking down from snow on the honey...

I placed 4 normal size (stone) blocks around the center which is enough to cause the medium magmas to reach the powdered snow and break down, so far the frogs haven't jumped out from there =)

That is quite the challenge indeed. My biggest question is …what is a frog 🐸 light? Like, what was the inspiration for this? I’m always up for new lighting option but this is definitely a strange one. Great job as always though!

Thank you! That's Mojang for you! Its an interesting twist on the game. I like it though, because you have to bring in three different types from different biomes. A bit more dynamic. =)

I know this is not a new video, but where exactly is the AFK spot? Is it at the bottom of the ladder/12 blocks below the chests and platform?

my iron golem keeps dying from getting hit on the corners of the fences...would adding four more corners impact anything?

Could be a good idea! I haven't had that issue. Let me know what you come up with. Even iron bars could help remedy this.

@@StoicEpoch Ended up swapping out the warped wood for nether brick fence and making 8 total columns of fence. Hasn't been killed since. Great vid though, really helped on my realm
