Gyudon
Serves 2
Ingredients
1 Tbs soy sauce
1 Tbs sugar
2 Tbs mirin, seasoned rice wine
2 Tbs sake, rice wine
1/2 cup dashi broth
2 slices ginger
4 oz onion, sliced (approximately 1/2 of medium size onion)
8 oz thinly sliced beef (I recommend sirloin, new york strip or ribeye)
2 eggs
2 cups rice
benishoga, shredded pickled ginger
chopped green onion
Shichimi togarashi

I'm loving these easy meals like you have no idea! This is literally ready under 30 minutes for me- including prep and cooking time. Beats doing a ton of dishes, buying take out, and eating frozen dinners. Ooo would you do a 30-min meal series? I would love that!

I just made this last night, but modified the recipe with chicken and I beat the egg first before adding. It was DELICIOUS! My husband was like of all the things I've made from your recipes, he ranks this as #1 and the Yakisoba as #2. The sweet flavors are great! I'll have to add even more eggs than 2 next time though, not enough egg for us! hahahaha. Thank you! Keep these recipes coming.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I totally agree that Japanese pepper has no kick at all. 1st time I had that sprinkle on my udon back when I visited Kyoto. My Japanese friend were telling me "Oh that is chili pepper" I put on couple of dash and there is no spice whatsoever ㅎㅎㅎ

I am going to make your Hot and Sour soup this weekend. I live in NE Ohio and perhaps you've seen how much snow we've gotten! Soup is good food!
