Never mind, they are probably berries that have been sprayed to keep bugs away and fertilized to produce more from less. The berries are probably not fit to eat!!!
For a deeper golden brown color and a little more of a crunch to your cobbler/crisp, cut a stick of BUTTER (not oleo!) into thin pats and cover the entire top, going all the way to the edges. Then, bake @ 350° for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and beautifully bubbly. Great warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Oh so yummy and definitely NOT a healthy, good-for-you fruit dessert! It's OKAY to live a little! 😊 EDIT: I was looking at other comments and realized that people commented that this recipe sticks to the pan and figured out that I missed how she started this. When we make this we start with a lightly butter pan but we also put a can of crushed pineapple with all the juice in the bottom of the pan and then add frozen fruit or more popular pie filling. You could use THINLY sliced fresh fruit or fresh berries, as well. 😊
I made this last weekend when my daughters came to visit. We added dots of butter to ours. It was delicious! Easy on my Rheumatoid hands and didn’t take long to cook. Thanks for the great idea!
That's a version of a dump cake. Similar to cobbler but different. Cobbler doesn't use a box of cake mix. The batter is cup of flour, a cup of sugar (I use 3 1/4 cup), and a cup of milk. A cup and a cup and a cup.
I've heard about this and I just would add butter but yes I've heard about cooking with sodas and I've seen cakes made like this and cobblers made like this I don't know why people are being so nasty and rude especially if they haven't tried it first try something before you condemn it😮
Right!! It's literally so easy! Whatever fruit you Wana use and the cobbler part is literally just sugar flour and butter. Way easier and cheaper than buying boxed cake mix boxed jello powder and soda.
I wonder if ginger ale would work? I am willing to give it a try. Might add a few bits of butter as many suggested. Cobbler, Dump cake, why do others sound so angry and mean? Love one another. Thanks for the idea!
I would of put butter on top with your 7up 400 degrees oven for an hour until nicely golden brown top on your crust 😋 & then enjoy the way you did it doesn't look done enough for me keep it the oven longer 😉
I love the difference between the “all natural, organic, vegan, no processed foods allowed ever” influencers compared with “ah yeah just throw an entire 7up onto cake mix and vanilla jello”
Every time her shorts pop up on my feed, I already know its hers without seeing her pic. Everything she makes looks like it can either shortened, your life span, 😅 or suffer some type of diabetes/ heart attack / high blood pressure.
Don’t fall for these stupid hacks, it sticks to the bottom of the pan, not mixing in the dry gives you clumps of powder . None of these so called hacks are good . Talking from experience. My daughter insisted that she make a few the Oreos one is the worst
@blw6468 Why didn't she just add butter slices..between juice from frozen berries and 7up. Nothing but slush!! I have made a few dump cakes years ago, this is an experiment gone awry.
Easy cobbler: 1 cup of self rising flour, 1 cup of milk, 1 stick of butter, a splash of vanilla, a pinch of salt & 1 cup of fruit ~ mix in a cake pan, bake and done! That's it!
Please when you give a recipe, let us know what temperature your oven is on. And the pudding, is it instant or cook pudding. And for diabetics, use butter not 7up.
If you make a proper cobbler, instead of... WHATEVER this is, it looks, AND tastes much better than this abomination. Well. Pretty much anything looks and tastes better than this.
That's gross. The only nutritious thing about this are the berries. Anyone who can't do cobbler from scratch shouldn't be allowed in the kitchen. The amount of sugars and preservatives in three out of the four ingredients is insane.
If you don't care now, I imagine that you might be young and maybe take your health for granted. Hopefully you are not too depressed to care. Either way, eating healthy not only makes you feel better in the present, but also takes care of your body for the long term. Nutrition education and basic cooking skills are often sadly lacking in our fast food, busy, stressed out society. I wish you well :) @@searose1335
