I'm sure it was delicious but, I'm a country girl born n bred. I've never had or seen Brunswick Stew cooked like that. Its more like a vegetable soup the way you did it. It takes all day to make a good Brunwick Stew n it sure ain't made like that hun. I live in Georgia n I was raised on this Stew! Do it a real country way n taste the best you could ever eat! Much Love....
I'm dying!!! This takes me back to Virginia!!! You KNOW how to make it, Buddy!!!! it is NOT Brunswick Stew if it 'Aint got Ochre and Lima Beans! Well Done Mike!
Great video, great job, that stew looks great I would love to taste it I'm sure it tastes good. My grandfather and grandmother used to make Brunswick Stew in a large cast iron wash pot and can it in quart jars. During WW2 they bought a canner that used metal cans so they could send food to my Father who was in the Pacific with the 1st Marine division one. One of the items they sent was Brunswick Stew which he shared with his brothers. Thanks for sharing.
Ok so I’m gonna make Brunswick stew today and checking out some videos and BAM! I came across your video Mike! I’m just gonna add some spuds and carrots cut up. Thanks brother!
Yeah, Brunswick stew isn't the same without the Okra,Shoe Peg white corn and Lima beans. I prefer mine with my veggies in tact and not blended until no longer recognizable. Yours looks amazing. Thanks for the recipe.
That looks really good ... Full of flavor and hearty , especially on a cold day ... Mike great job brother and I Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas
Love your manner ,humor and presentation.! I finally subscribed by hitting the bell and now I am catching up on all your mouth watering videos. This Brunswick stew is one I definitely will make as I will freeze it in portions for heat and eat future dinners .How convenient and healthy. I 'm lovin' all your videos....2-25-19. I'm two months late with Christmas greetings but hope you and Donna had a good one! Rose
I never heard of Brunswick stew. I don't think it is popular around here.. sad to say ! This looks absolutely delicious and so different with pork and chicken! So perfect for a cold winter day :) I thought I was looking at a food magazine photo with that thumbnail ;) Just awesome !
HEY MIKE, man you did fantastic job a cooking that Brunswick Stew, the combination of the ingredients that you put in that crock pot was awesome. I will bet you that it tasted unbelievable, I would have liked to have been the taste tester on that one. Mike also the color of the dish was beautifully done, I don't know how you didn't take a bite of that chicken before you put in the crock pot, It was killing me. EXCELLENT JOB MIKE. GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER.!!!!
JOE! I wanted to sample that chicken so bad... this was the best tasting Brunswick Stew I’ve ever had. Next time you make pulled pork, freeze a bunch of it and use it for this recipe. You will not be disappointed. God Bless you Joe and Merry Christmas.
Man! I just realized I never hit the bell to get your notifications! Great cook Mike! I bet this would be freaking amazing with Mexican style hominy. You should've dropped an atom bomb clip when you dropped Kents spices. 👍🏽 Question: How long does your mic battery last and do you get notified when it's running low?
Thanks, Joe. The new wireless lav mic lets me know if the battery is low via a battery life indicator. My previous lav mic didn't have any way to tell you. As far as battery life, I've done two videos (probably 4 hours total run time) with it and the battery still shows "full."
That look real delicious Mike love that Stubbs now I got try out Kent’s rub .. You should drop a new WHAT’S IN THE BOX!? (Famous Daves).. Have a Merry Christmas bro 🎄
How was the salt content? You added a bunch of pre-cooked items and mentioned add salt to taste but I didn't notice you tasting it be fore adding more salt. Look delicious!
Great recipe, and very close to the original concept of Brunswick stew - most importantly that you use already cooked barbecue meat! One critique is that okra can be an overpowering flavor, I like it but it can dominate the flavor beyond what traditional Brunswick stew tastes like. Double thumbs up (if it were possible) to this being pork and poultry, and not beef.
❤️ *Hello The culinary cookhouse* 🧡 I really love your kitchen! and the way you cook! 💛🌸 I want to wish you a very Ⓗ░Ⓐ░ⓟ░ⓟ░Ⓨ░ new year 🌸 All the best for you and for everyone you love🌸💚 Greetings from la France in Europe💙👓fullpl@yed video👓💜
No, that’s not Brunswick stew. Stew, yes but not good, southern B stew. Come to Georgia and taste around. You’ll find some fifty gallon pots of deliciousness that a two quart version can’t touch.
