This is how you reach people. I wasn't brought up Christian. I'm still growing in my faith. As someone who came from the outside, I can tell you that most Christian outlets make me feel like an outsider. At church, listening to the radio, even reading the comment section of this video. It's not that people or outlets aren't friendly. It's that a relationship with God grows softly for some. I have faith, but when I compare my faith to the worship I see around me, it can be intimidating. Like the services are meant to reach those who already ardently believe, who can praise God with unwavering convinction in resonating song, while those standing by the door with a spark in their heart look around and wonder if they belong here. I feel passion in your music, but it's not intimidating. Your lyrics inspire me to meditate on my faith and allow me to express it and to worship in a way that feels genuine to me. I went through the hardest breakup of my life this past Valentine’s Day. Me and this kind-hearted girl dated for a year and 3 months. I told God when we started dating that I loved her too much to ask Him for approval. The last few weeks, right before she broke up with me, I prayed to God about how I wanted to be closer to Him. I did this many days. I felt torn between my desire to grow closer to God and my desire for her and our relationship to work out. I knew we were spiritually dissonant. We both had similar upbringings, grew up in a strict Christian home, all that fun stuff. But I knew there were many differences we had when it came to our friends. When it came to what my convictions and longings were and what hers were. We never had sex but I definitely didn’t keep things pure in our relationship though. Eventually I knew that I couldn’t keep letting her be the only one to satisfy me. Relying on her for my joy and happiness was slowly failing me more and more. She was the most beautiful girl I ever met and we had so much chemistry. This girl loved some awesome music, we even started a vinyl collection together. She told me on Valentine’s Day that she wasn’t even planning to break up that day. I knew things weren’t going well between us for a while though. The transparency and honesty our relationship had was a distant memory to me. She broke up with me and told me that she needed to grow and that I needed to grow too. I felt like God was telling me in that moment that this was my opportunity to grow in Him. Thank you Lord for all you have done for me! Guys! This was the roughest time of my life. I am 21 years old and I never felt so broken and hopeless about my future as I did that night. I got on my hands and knees and cried out to God when I got back home. I got in my car and put on worship songs. I sang them out to God. Even when I could barely speak as I was crying. I kept praising His name. He is there for you and he is always faithful. I love God so much! He has been there for me through it all. The Bible says in Psalm 34:18 that The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. When you are truly empty and you cry out to God it is amazing how much He can fill you up. I found Sarah Reeves’ album Easy Never Needed You and listened to all of it over that next week. This song spoke so much to me! Every word in every song on that album spoke to me and it all was right in line with how I felt and my heart’s longing to be loved and known by God. The one true desire of every human is to be fully known and fully loved. Only God can fulfill this! Thank you God for being with me through the hills and valleys! Thank you Sarah Reeves for writing such wonderful love songs to our incredible savior.

I came across your music this year and was really moved by it! You have the voice of an angel and your music has very inspiring and profound messages delivered in a non traditional style! I love it! It has been my dream to sing Christian music in a similar way! I wrote my first instrumental on the piano at age 8 and it had a rock sound to it. I wrote my first lyrical song at age 11 called Jesus it had a hip hop style to it. In middle school and Highschool I’d sing at talent shows and those years were a rough time for me due to struggles with bullying and anxiety so coming home to play the piano or write music helped me get all my emotions out and feel better. After College life got busy and I stopped singing after so many failed attempts to record with local studios and producers who had hidden agendas. Slowly I just quit singing as much although music never left me! I’d occasionally sing at church and got into dancing as well but I just stopped taking it seriously. Recently I believe that God has been showing me to return to my music. Right now I’d love to have some edm beats to write songs to and start making, performing and promoting my music especially since I live in Austin, the music capital! I even have Studio equipment at home but I don’t know how to use it or set it up and I just don’t have the resources to get started. Basically I just don’t know where to start. Yesterday night as I was driving along I heard your song with the lyrics I though I wanted it easy but easy never needed, never needed you. I must have replayed that song 5 times! It spoke to me and I could just feel it! I will post for you a music video I made a couple years ago when I worked as a barista at the Hilton for a contest.
