Skillet Brownie - a warm, rich, fudgy brownie, topped with ice cream, a chocolate lover dream come true. All you need for this recipe is one (cast iron) skillet, a spatula and a few basic ingredients you probably already have in the house. The batter for this easy brownie recipe is prepared directly in the skillet, baked and then served warm, directly from the skillet. Isn’t that awesome?

Ingredients
Makes about 6 servings
1/2 cup (110g) unsalted butter
1 cup (200g) sugar
1/2 tsp (2g) salt
1/2 cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp (1g) instant coffee powder
1 tsp (5g) vanilla extract
3 eggs
2/3 cup (80g) all-purpose flour
4 oz (120g) semisweet chocolate chips or chunks
1 oz (30g) semisweet chocolate chips, on top

She wasn't kidding when she said it was easy. It was so smart to just melt the butter in the pan and add all the ingredients in there instead of using different bowls for the ingredients. Easier cleanup! Plus I added salted caramel chips instead of chocolate chips. It was ~divine~

Made this today for Father’s Day dinner. Was very happy that it came through my feed just as I was looking for something my boys would eat for dessert. Love how rustic it looks. But my goodness this is the best brownie we’ve ever tasted, and we’ve been trying loads of recipes so far. Finally found a family favourite! I have decided to complete the genuineness of this recipe and continue cooking it on the hot plate instead of oven baking to save energy. Covering it with aluminum lid with heavy weight on top and wrapped the edges with aluminum foil to seal the heat inside was perfect 👌, starting with medium then slowed to low heat for almost 25 minutes. Thank you for your inspiration. Looking forward to do it again and again.

Reduce (or better replace with OH) sugar, use raw cacao powder with some protein powder, replace ice cream with coconut cream = post workout desert!

I'm not a huge fan of brownies, but seeing your recipe, I really want to try them. My sister made some really nice ones for me a long time ago, but she lost her recipe. They were on the bitter side, because she used dark chocolate, but we solved the problem with stawberries and ice cream. Thank you so much for the recipe.

Cook it on the hot plate, just cover it with metal lid and use Alu foil to seal the heat leak, on slow heat it took exactly 25 minutes if you like it a bit chewing .

Every time someone directly takes chunks out of a hot dish and implies they eat it I just imagine the music cutting off and a really loud cough as they burn their mouth and rush to the sink to get a glass of cold water all the while doing a thumbs up and 👌 sign

Ok so is this better than the fudgy coconut brownies you've made before? Can't decide which of these to make. From what I can tell, besides the coconut, the previous recipe has 100g. semisweet chocolate inside it and 8 g. cocoa, while this one has chocolate chips and 60 g. cocoa. Which one tastes better?

Make sure you use a 9 inch skillet. I used my 12 inch iron skillet and it didn't rise well. I did exactly what she did in the video. My cake cake out like a dry brownie. But it was good.
